Hi all maybe u can help me.

I have read that many people have mapped the wheelmouse to perform double clicking with just 1 click.

The advice I have read is to download the latest software (which I did) and remap it (which I did).

Alas, <SIGH > this does not work for me.

I am running windows ME and the remapped keys work fine in windows, BUT, do NOT work in SWG.

Any help would be very cool.

I really need step by step type instructions.

I have read that to use the logitech one has to adjust the registry but when i checked the information was too different for me to change it.

Did you do this with the MS Intellipoint software? IIRC, that's included with all MS mice, and can also be downloaded somewhere on their website. Is that the "newest version" you had installed?

I have an optical Intellimouse Explorer (not wireless, though). If I go into the mouse properties in the control panel, there'sa tab for "Buttons" which has a drop down list to set the associated command for each button. The selection under "Wheel button" is double-click. This works both in Windows and SWG. My setup also allows for "program specific" mapping, you can try adding the SWGClient_r executable to that list and selecting double click for the scroll wheel in that configuration.

The application you need to use is Microsoft Mouse from the intellipooint download (not the drivers)

You MUST reboot after installing it for remapped keys to work. If you don't, they will work in some things, not in others

DONT enable programme specific configurations - I couldnt get that to work with SWG

I have the latest version of the intellipoint software 4.12 ( Downloaded 2004.01.13)

I have used the drop down menus and assinged the keys, however this did not work.

I will try to reboot and see what happens . . . (updating settings).. . (rebooting) . . . (loading game) . . . (still loading) . . . (testing) . . .

Ok I remapped

1) double click to the wheel - NO GOOD DOES NOT WORK.

2) alt to the Forward small thumb button - WORKS

3) enter to the rear large thumb button - WORKS

So now i am confused I can get all functions to work except the one I want - DOUBLE CLICK

Any suggestions at this point will be great thx.
