Thread: Overpriced i say No!
Then a follow up tell saying how much in which i indicate price. Response is no thanks. no biggie. Only to find out the same person just cleaned out my vendor for the price that was just quoted. lol
But seriously i overcharge for most of my goods for the simple fact that it is a long process to make most of the high end chef products in which case some can only be made in counts of 20-25 crates respectively ( due to hopper input size
I have to run 2 factories for almost 2 days just to make one batch of fishak. Unfortunately i dont have the luxury of additional lots. Please lemme know if these prices seem really high to you or justified.
Fishak 80 - 100k depending on quality and indiv. stack size
Sunburn 65- 80k " "
Breath of Heaven 75- 100k " "
Just wanted to see if these were reasonable , if you are a master chef on corbantis pls chime in . Thanks in advance
my fishak is running 82500 and Ive been debating on raising it. I got cussed at yesterday because my vendor was sold out of it...and Id just stocked it with 10+ crates.
my BoH is 90k/crate
My sunburns are usually 37500 per crate. The only reason they are so low really is left over from back when everyone made them and they were "the" drink. Competition got rather fierce regarding them and a 250/chg when crated standard became prevalent on my server. However, I know there are other chefs that charge much more than me on burns. I just didnt feel good about raising the price from what was standard. In addition theres always some yokel selling sunburns for cost thinking they are making money because they forgot to acct for factory maint/power/time. Burns being so low on the tree makes a much more competitive market for them.
Not overpriced at all really (course depends on the server) but i do fine selling:
BOH crates at 200k (+547 15 charges per stack)
Fishak is usually around 70-85K depending on stack size usually (+545 9-10 charges per stack)
as with Nikii i still charge 35k per crate of sunburns (dont sell as well as they used to ) mine are usually +1824 in 8 or 9 charge stacks.
all in all you seem about right. You might have trouble competing with the older chefs on the server with the sunburns is all.
For anyone that wants cheap products lemme know
I put up 57 crates of fishak at 80k a pop, it took about 6 hours to sell it out.
26 crates of BoH at 120k a pop, about 8 hours.
Your prices seem fine to me, but it depends on your server economics.

Holy crap! sold out that fast? I've had about 20 crates of Tat Sunburn on my vendor for 4 weeks at about200cr per use (5 uses = 27,500) and can't move a single one. The vendor is under the "food" section of the planatary map. There isn't a single other food vendor on the planet. I don't know how low I'll have to drop the price to move them... From what I have heard, most people say they get doctor buffs from the many master doctors that are in my town (on Naboo) and don't need the extra food buffs...
Sure hope things change when I hit master.... What planet are you selling on?
Nothing is ever truly overpriced if the market will bear it.
I sell BoH for 60-75k and 90k (60-75k uses alcohol, 90k uses aludiams and I am probably too cheap on the aludiam version which usually results in 550+ buff 15+ uses).
My fishak runs 50-60k a crate...usually 550ish 8-10 uses. I have considered raising the price, but I seem at a nice comfortable medium right now given the two other master level, and one near master level chef vendors all within 500m of my Coronetshop. ![]()
I have sunburns, but they never sold well for me and I sell them 25-35k a crate. I offer them solely for the diversity on my vendor. I may quit making them since I have a more proftable and useful purpose for reactive gas. ![]()
I am basing my prices per resource unit it takes to make a product, not per charge. And my crates are cheap!
I price it at the total number of resources, time 8 credits per unit (will jump to 10 credits per unit for certain Master Level foods). I just made Master Chef, so my fishak production run were limited to 3 crates based on componentson hand!
I run two factories, and harvest most of my own materials and power. Sunburns - 20k a crate. The priciest is the Double Dip Outer Rim Rum Drop, 48k. I have not priced BOH yet, but it should be up there too.
Like another reply on this thread, I have had non-master sunburns on a vendor for a few weeks, selling maybe 10 cases a week. Of course, I live off the beaten path, in a city without a shuttleport. Most of my sales are to PA members. Recent addition of a Merchant Tent and planetary map listing, sales seem to be increasing. I am also moving to a new planet with my guild, into a town with an established Master Chef and shuttleport. She has the same experience in sales as me, with an even lower cpu than my 8!

I run an operation on all three inner planets, and try to stock all the vendors evenly. As a caveat to my sales numbers, I only stock once a week, and have been established on the server for a very long time. I keep an organized business with sales metrics and customer tracking, and while I try not to differentiate my customers too much, a lot of them know when I'm going to restock, and are waiting for me at my stores. 20-30% of those sales numbers are small groups of 3-4 players camping my stores and pulling them off the vendor the minute I stock them.
Don't fret too much, there are a lot of things you can do to advertise, and you might want to make more "mind" food to draw in more customers. My sunburns aren't the end all product they used to be, they are 4-5 in my sales list behind mind/focus/will foods.
Hope this helps.
