Thread: Chef's, Don't think you have to sell BE enhanced foods only
As it happens, I simply cant make all BE ones, so theyre gonna have to live with it

I truly would not be willing to pay the 300K + amount required for BE enhanced foods for leveling my char but would not mind dropping the 75K for a good run of non enhanced stuff.
Typically, your "normal" Brandy is made with small glasses. Your 350k crate of BE stuff is made with casks. So, the BE stuff has 3x as many charges... a direct tripling of utility ot the customer, so triple the price.
You're at 225k for the same # of charges of normal stuff.
Now, the additive doubles the effectiveness of the buff (not quite, but it makes the math easier for explanation). Now, here's the important part: even if you don't want or need the +800 you get by doubling up, you can directly replace the "normal" buff by simply taking one brandy instead of two. This effectively doubles the crate's total utility to the customer.
You're at 450k. Sounds to me like 350k is underpriced (or more likely, 75k is overpriced for vanilla Brandy).
This simple arithmetic ignores the other benefits you get from the BE Brandy... 1 crate vs. 6 (for the same amount of buffs) in inventory, the ability to stack to +800 in emergencies, but it seems fairly obvious to me that BE Brandy in a cask is worth at least six times as much as regular Brandy in a glass, for everyone, not just the uber.
The only way I see that your line of thinking could be correct is if the normal Brandy were in a cask (and any Chef who casks normal Brandy gets a different math lesson...)
He is focusing on BE foods, and charging approximatley three times what I am charging for the "regular" foods. I feel there is a good space for both of us in the one city, and that the market is still interested in non-BE foods.
Re: The comment of "as long as BE foods don't come down to the price of non-BE foods" - I really don't see that happening. It is such a pain to make BE foods AND it uses resources that can't be easily collected. It's not worth doing that for regular price...
ya my problem i hate overcharging.... my food stats are as follows:
BE MADE - Vagnerian Canape- 2sets - +722foc/will 11mins 6use 39Fill - 125K per crate
+548foc/will 12mins 6use33fill - 125k per crate
NON-BE made Vasarian Brandy - +202mind 45mins 10use 49Fill -125K --sells SUPER FAST
BE-MADE Vasarian Brandy 2 sets- +395mind 41min 10use 49Fill - 250K per crate
+347mind 51min 10use 49fill - 250K per crate
It costs me 2.5mill for 800units of BE additives.Now..while i like supplying my customers with the best.
using BE MADE components lowers my profit margain from 500% to 145% ..hmm. What to do ..what to do.
Though i still supply both NON-BE and BE products i do more of the NON..for the not so rich people. ..By the way any opinions on my pricing? I dont like feeling im overcharging..but i have to make some profit.
