Thread: Do Chefs actually use MultiSaccharide Tetramates?

and also, will u ever auction multisaccaride tetramates? i cud easily pay 5 milion for that

The above is a quote from a comment on an auction of BSNs in our Chimaera Trade forum.

I have never been asked for MSTs, ever. MNS, BSN, INN are all I ever get asked to make by chefs.

Ingreds. 35 Seeds, 30 Milk, 30 Flora Food

I can make a 500 run ofthe MSTs - I have a 20K stack of milk I've been saving for a rainy day - but it seems pointless if there's no real market for them.

Is the poster serious, or just trying to pull someone's leg? I really don't understand why someone would prefer those to the Nutrient line.

The poster's signature says he's a 12pt Chef/Doctor. Any other Chefs think of a good use for MSTs?

... and I don't need the 5Mil - I have enough in the bank atm to quit 'working' completely and buy everything I need for at least the next 6 months in game I'm just really puzzled.

I believe this is the medium food additive for Flavor, and is used in Parwan Nutricake, to create a non-stop burstrun food.

5million seems awfully desperate, even for a 1000 unit factory run. Offering 125k per crate? Even with the milk requirement, I wouldn't consider that a reasonable price.

That being said, there are a few foods that do benefit from a multisaccharide enough to skip the nutrient additive. Parwan Nutricake, for example, reduces the HAM cost (nutrition) and recovery time (flavor) of burst run. With a multisaccharide, you can get the recovery bonus up to 90%, which makes it possible to burst run again immediately after slowing down.

For most of the other foods, MT would give a 45ish% increase to the duration, which is rarely a big selling point. Although maybe if he/she is looking at some buff stacking, which may benefit from a longer duration vs. filling. /shrug.

It's also useful for Accarrgm (spelling?) as a wonderful buff for dancers

I think it was around 55m to an hour I think

I only use MST in one of my foods, Parwan Nutricake. As mentioned before, the flavor stat (recovery time) is the one people look for; the nutrition stat (HAM reduction) is not all that useful. And it sells VERY well. Jedi love the stuff. But MST's (heck milk in general) are veryhard to find.

For other foods, I agree, nutrition is the best choice. For Accarragm, for instance, you can get the duration over an hour with the flavor additive, but then the buff is only in the +200 range. With BSN's I can get the buff over +400 for 45 minutes, which is as long as it takes the stomach to empty. So the buff is still continuous, but larger. Flavor additives just don't have a big enough effect to be worth using over nutrients, especially considering how much more they cost.

I just made some MST's for my first time for a client. Only made him a few crates though. It was my first request in 3 months of being an MBE. Oh, and by the way, if there are any Naritus chefs looking for a BE Tissues supplier, send me a tell/email in game (Hey, this is a rider, not a post in the wrong forum )

Thanks for the additives Isscossk! I will be over today to pick them up!

I asked one of my Chef customers if he'd be willing to experiment with MSTs so he came over today. We got my +43 crafting station set up in the back of the shop and I made4 MST at +48(90%) and one deliberately at +44 for comparison. He got Burst Run Recovery time reduction of 99% with only a 73% experimentation on the food (we didn't have the best resources of Flowers or Rice).

I tested it and it was an insta-burstrun delight Every time I stopped running and got the 'you are tired' message, I ate the food and immediately started to burstrun again.

The +44 additive reduced the result to a 96% recovery time reduction, but since the best experimentation was only 73% there's a lot of room for improvement.

I made him a crate of MST to experiment with (no charge obviously) and he's going to gather the best resources he can and try to make some 99+ish Parwan and experiment on the filling too. I have a run of 500 MST going through now, so if it proves worth him selling this food regularly he doesn't have to wait 3 or 4 days for me to catch up.

(The Milk Quality for the additive,in case anyone wondered, was OQ+PE+FL = 2300ish, and I used some 950/890/800ish Flora)

I'm pleased it works, it gives me something else to make and another resource (Milk - 30 per tissue) that isworth chasing my Hunters for. I get so bored making the same factory runs all the time. *grins*

As has been discussed in a couple of previous posts (maybe a couple of weeks back?), the 'key' number for Parwan is +90. This is because it reduces therecovery time by 90%. 10 mins is the normalrecovery time (from when you start running), so 90% reduces it to 1 minute. Burst Run lasts 1 minute, so you stop being tired just as your burst run expires. Anything beyond 90 is only theoretically useful (if you get a state put on you in PvP which cancels your burst run, for example).
