Hello all! I just finished my Chef grind today, and I have been collecting some resources and components over the last week in preparation for my first run of Vasarian Brandy. I do plan on making other foods, but want to concentrate on Brandy first and then expand from there.
My question is - what kind of ballpark Brandy stats can I expect with the following resources? I'm a 10-point Master Chef with no bonuses other than a +5/+5 Chef Apron. Will be using a 15.0 Crafting Tool and 44.x+ Crafting Station, if that matters.
Berries: DR 656, FL 783, PE 908, OQ 895
Fruit: DR 536, FL 455, PE 819, OQ 992
Broad Spectrum Nutrients: 86 power
Also, when experimenting, I suppose I should try to get the filling down to 49 first then dump the rest of the points into nutrition. Any further tips fora new Master?

you should make fairly good brandy with that easy in the very low 400's. I am using 900-1000 OQ and PE berries and fruit with 85 BSN's and I make w/o a chef's apron something like 420 total buff, for 41 minutes. as a 12 point chef you should be able to go higher

it's not worth the points just nice if you can get it ( it's a diffrence of about 45 seconds emptying )

49 happens when you're experimenting down from 51 or the brandy has it as its base filling. 50, of course, is good enough.

I would get it to 50 filling 45 minutes or 49 filling 44 minutes and then the rest in buff size.
Up to you, but I know when I made 2 different types(1 high buff, 1 45 minute duration) the duration one sold much better.

Good for you man. You hit the 45 minute mark with 400+.....to me that is very respectable and worthy of resale at full retail value. For your first run that is excellent.
Somewhere aound the 43-44 minute mark or so, you get to the point where you are able to pop two more brandy as soon as the the first two wear off. This is crucial, since a downtime of even a few minutes can mean death for some players. Most players, once it is explained to them, would rather have stuff with a bit less of a buff if it gives them a 44minute or more duration.
This is of course just my opinion, and I am a fairly new Chef myself. But my hat is off to you.

Thats great Mik! I'm on your server as well.. give me a tell if you got any questions or want to compare foods/drinks to see if your hittin the mark. I've gotten back into the swing of things and have opened up the entire donut line again.
I make two types of brandy. Both versions have 18 uses right now. The best selling version has 1 point into filling to move it from 51 to 49. The next few points are put into duration to hit the 45 minute or higher mark and the rest are poured into buff size. I've been using bonus 82 adds and getting the 400 buff for 45 minute mark. I just put in multiple runs of medium adds at bonus 85 and 86 so I'll end up with better 45 minutebrandy. The other brandy option I sell is the all buff and the rest of the points into duration. This normally ends up with 427-441 buff size and a less than stellar duration of 39 to 34m. Its really sad but people request the higher buff for pvp reasons. That extra 40 to 80 mind can help I guess.
My biggest sellers as of late are Ahrisa (Once educated, more people prefer the Ahrisa food over the canape in terms of focus and duration. Stop the mind drain before you have to depend on regeneration... thats the key) and Smugglers Delight(oh the milk!).

Out of curiousity, why do people think of chef's foods like buff's. Don't people realize if our products are used more like stims, they are twice as effective? I guess asking people to manage their filling is expecting a little much of the average player.
