Thread: Do Synthsteak and Exo-Protein Wafers stack?

Since these are both similar foods, and you can only use one synthsteak at a time, could you say eat a Synthsteak and an Exo-Protein Wafer and have the effects stack for greater damage reduction?
I'm going to be selling teh Wafers regardless, just want to know how to advertise them.

It was my understanding that only buff foods will stack. I've never tried it though

hmmm, If you pop a thakillo and a synthstake and both are still in the buff window, then I think that means you can stack non HAM foods, but I dont think Skill foods of the same type stack.

Not sure what you mean by this...Thakatillo and Synthsteak have nothing in common other than they are both foods. We all know that one can stack multiple brandies, canapes, etc...and we also know for instance you can't drink two Ithorian Mists and get +50 Def. vs Dizzy.

Looks like I will have to test this out when I get the food made. I'll come back and post results.

Thinking out loud here......I know there are two Dodge foods. Air Cake and something else, I forget the second one...any defense stackers know if those two work together?
If they do, it would be a good indication that Synthsteak and Exo-Proteins would stack.

Food/drinks that have the same skill buff or special effect (like damage reduction) can not be stacked. If you eat an exo-protein wafer then try to eat a synthsteak you'll get a message along the lines of "you are already under the effect of that food", and the stack of synthsteak won't lose a dose.

I only wish, stacking air cake and pikatta pie would be nice, but no, you get the message sciguy mentioned when you try.

Nah you can't stack synthsteak and exo-protein. I was disapointed also when i tried it.
