Thread: Flora Harvestor size/benefits
Hello there.
I am curious on finding out the benefits of upgrading my personal flora farms to larger ones and I seek advice before I invest large amounts of credits.
First off, are there medium and large flora farms?
How many lots do the larger ones take up?
Is there an overall decrease in maint. and power with a larger flora harvestor versus two personal?
Is there a slight increase in percentage yield versus two personal?
And finally, what is the redeed cost for the larger farms?
I'm sorry for the noobish questions but I have not owned anything larger than personal harvestors. I would have posted on the Architect forum but I am guessing they are overjoyed on finally being able to make them and haven't had the time to experiment as much as folks inthe chef field.
Thanks in advance.
Maintenance/power increases proportionally, i.e. med = 2*small, large = 3*small (but large = 3.5 * output of a small ?!).
Redeed cost is always twice the daily $ upkeep.
Small:
Maintenance/day: 720
Power/day: 600
Max resources/hr: 120
Redeed cost: 1500
Medium:
Maintenance/day: 1440
Power/day: 1200
Max resources/hr: 240
Redeed cost: 3000
Large:
Maintenance/day: 2160
Power/day: 1800
Max resources/hr: 420
Redeed cost: 4500
There's only a couple of argumentsagain going to large harvestors in my opinion (i'm trying toupgrade all of mine right now)
1) some people just cannot afford the power and maintenance costs, although you gotta spend some money to make money
2) some planets and areas are really hard to place the larger harvestors. Right now on Lok, the spot for wheat is centered on a big hilly area. Only personals fit in the valleys and plateaus. All my large harvestors lie in a ring at the base, unfortunately, in lower concentrations. Dathomir is neigh impossible to place medium or large harvestors (you can but the spots are few and far between)
I plan to eventually have a full line of all sizes of all my harvestors so I can place them as necessary.
