Thread: Question: UXP from peopel eating your food?
They eat the full stack
You are online at the time they eat it
You are withint 1-1.5km of them
You are on the same subserver (each planet is made up of several)
There's a blue moon
A pig flies past your windowq
I've seen the UXP be a consistent 50% of the original crafting xp, although it's true they have to finish the whole stack. This also applies to pets eating the food, and that seems to be doable even with a stuck stack (although it doesn't unstick it). The UXP distance factor is something that's affected all the crafting classes since launch.
For what it is worth, last night I did this test:
- Checked my XP total
- Had a guildmate eat several stacks of my food in front of me
- Checked my XP total
- Waited a while
- Rechecked my XP total
No movement at all on the XP, I appeared to have not earned any UXP at all.
On my way to becoming a novice chef & about to be (this weekend if my mouse hand doesn't drop off) novice weaponsmith. I have never really grinded, In that I have always made stuff that was seemingly useful, not just mass produce backpacks for the XP. I have sold 80% of everything I have made, mainly food or P'ups on the bazaar (the rest either I used or I destroyed because it was crap) It has all been bought & presumably used by someone in Coronet & I have never received any UXP.
I put in my one allowable ticket to the holocron thing to ask about this. Apparently what you have to do is hang out by the bazaar where you put your items up for sale. Now monitor your e-mail, as soon as you sell an item open the e-mail note the name of the customer and search for them. Now you have to follow 10 meters behind them everywhere they go until they have used up the item they have bought.I was also warned that they are about to nerf the fact that an artisan could duel with the master bounty hunter, so that he consumed your food buffor used more ofyourpower up. The penalty for doing this would be that you are sent to the cloning center furthest from where you died so that you could never find the bounty hunter in time to collect UXP. ![]()
This has led me to believe that the mythical nature of UXP is in fact tied to the discovery of your force sensitive slot. I.e. when you have raised 1 million UXP it will open. Hence how the developers know that the first jedi will not appear until 2010.

Odd, what food did you give your guildmate, and which xp did you check? Were you using DomArts foods or Chef? And was your guildmate *finishing* the stacks? From my experiences, the UXP is only awarded when the last dose of the stack is consumed.
I collaborated with a BE a few days ago who wanted to grind through her tissue skill. She'd craft up 10-15 micro-supplements, I'd include them in a protato, then pass those back to her to feed to her pet. I was getting 50 FoodXP for crafting each protato, and another 25 when the pet ate it. This could be a special case (since protato is technically a component, not a food), but I when I was checking whether pets gave you UXP, I gave a guy a stack of Gwouch, and got the same 50% of the original crafting xp when the last dose was used. The other thing is that maybe the fact that I was checking using pet consumption made a difference.
One thing that Novice Chefs can do to get UXP is to make soypro for higher level chefs. Same for Sweet Cake Mix adn what not. Just use top of the line ingredients, and mass produce them.
I know this worked with domestic arts foods because whenmy friendtried tocreate a comercial cafe north of Theed, I was grinding tons of domestic arts foods, and needed a ton of dough. I had a friend make the dough, and I used it. I believe it worked, though I can't remember.(Mind you we were in the same room of the same houseat the time, he was making air cakes and I was making Noodles).
Also Ithink UXP is delayed .
