Thread: Goodbye Letter For The Chef Dev...
Well Chef Dev, today was the day. I've logged in for my last time and bet all my credits away... I was going to eat the food and drink I had made, but I couldn't quite tell how much I was able to eat and drink -- with those bars bugged and all, and since I wanted to try on some different outfits before I left, I knew I couldn't take the negitive stat bug and eating and drinking currently causes. I offered my food and drink to some of the people at the Star Port, explaining to them that I was leaving, but no one was willing to take my gifts. "I'm a Master Level Chef", I proclaimed, "Don't you understand how much I worked and slaved to make the items I'm offering to you for free?" Nothing but the sound of ships flying overhead... But that's ok Chef Dev, I know there was a lot you never got around to. Unique pictures for all our crafted goods, letting us use those eggs to make something special, since everyone claims they were put in for us -- even though I never found a use for them, adding in milk so we could find out what those last few items we could never make actually did... I guess four months isn't a long time when you look at the scope of time. I will have to say though Chef Dev, it was awful nice of ya to fix those schematics we could never even load into our crafting devices. Sure, there's still a few broken ones that don't work, but how important could they really be? You know what was also nice Chef Dev? Putting in NPCs that sold drinks so that people could roleplay without having us around all the time. And the fact that he was selling a drink that we ourselves couldn't even make made the roleplaying experience all the better.
Well Chef Dev, I guess I should wrap this little goodbye letter up. It's a little sad I don't know who to address it to, but I'm sure if I label it as "Chef Dev", the person who should be reading it will get ahold of it in time. Keep fighting the good fight Chef Dev -- even though so many of your Master and Novice warriors have fallen to other temptations, I'm sure you'll get everything pulled together in time...

This expresses very good 30% of my issues why i hit cancel on my 4 SOE accounts today.
30% go to Jedi-L33tness camping
10% to no content
30% to the way SOE handles its customers.
*tries to hold back the flame, then thinks "screw that" and releases*
Spence, you are a rudelittlefartaint ya?
*ok, done flaming*
I'm sorry to see this happen. I know its not the only time, but I've felt everything this guy has, and everythign Caithleen has, and every other chef, and I still keep going on, hoping that someone will...
HIRE ANOTHER Dev!...
**at least someone to just sit and design, pass the ideas to a dedicated coder**
SOMETHING!
Seeing as how I think Green Marine is the only one...
Spence you are in the wrong place sunshine. Chefs have had enough already but at least there is a little unity support and sympathy on these boards.
I care.
In fact I could almost cry I'm now so angry and frustrated.
Sorry to see anyone go.... But what's with the Spence mentioning? I'm Spence D'Mann.
Look at it like this, chef are only useful for maybe some stat stuff. But maybe the Devs never thought of the simple aspect that could save this profession... Hunger and thirst. Pets have to eat, then why not people? Sure it would be bad to starve, but at least let the hunger and thirst hinder one's abilities until they have a good meal.
If they do this maybe we'll start seeing player owned cantinas and diners. It would bring out that comfortable feeling of Dexter's Diner. Like a Denny's. Heck with some folks who sell items, it could be a Cracker Barrel.
In the meantime, there is one thing that chef's can pray for.... Weddings. If there are no master chefs, there are no wedding cakes. (especial those laced with spice... Imean icing!)
As for me I'm still waiting for the vehicles and Space crafts to come out. Hurry up with the VEHICLES!!
