from previous Bivoli Template post on this chef board (but tip buried a few posts into thread):

A couple of Bivoli tips:

The decimal part of the Wound Treatment bonus doesn't affect the doctor, so if you're maxing out at 24.7 with the resources you've got, you can probably save an experimentation point or two and stop adding to nutrition when you go over +24.0.

Try to get the uses to 3 per stack (doctors like that), then the rest of your points into duration.

I've got some resources that I'm able to hit +25, unfortunately, my experimentation points ran thin, and I couldn't get the number of uses up to where I like it. So right now I'm offering two batches:

+25.1, Duration 15m35s, filling 28, 2 uses

+24.1, duration 14m48s, filling 28, 3 uses.

One additional fact: the decimals don't matter. A +23.14 and a +23.89 both act as a +23 wound treatment. It's always rounded down to the lowest whole number.

I don't believe this is limited to Bivoli. I think any food does this. I don't know if 23.5 is actually saved and then later on only the whole number is used or if the 23 is just saved and .5 is immediately dropped.

Either way, there is no other way to get a decimal bonus to something other than on food so it doesn't really matter where it gets lost.

Well, when you look in your skill mods list, it shows only whole numbers, like with the Defense vs. {state} drinks. Bivoli makes a good test case, because the buff size calculation has been determined by the doctors, based on the buff pack power, any droid/camp bonusand the wound treatment skill mod. The buff is large enough that a fractional skill mod increase should show at least a1-5 point difference, but doctor's testing shows that's not the case. I don't know of any other skill mod where a fractional bonus is testable that precisely.

I think the decimals are there for the tissue bonus to work off of.

Just to clarify, there *are* other decimal-sized bonuses than food: crafting tools and stations, repair kita, etc.
