I heard that chef foods take you over the defense caps is this true?
Fencers have become unhittable lately and some have said that if they take Air-Cake(I could be wrong) it will take their dodge defenses over the 125 cap. Providing that they had altleasst 125 defense to begin with. Thanks Chefs you guys rule!!!

dodge foods do not add to the dodge modifier, the % chance to dodge is factored into the general to-hit formula. Thus, anyone can use air cake or pikatta pie and benefit from it.
As for other foods/drinks like elshandruu pica thundercloud (ranged defense) and vegeparsine (Melee defense), these, like most other stat buff foods, add to your base modifer, which means they do not apply to the +25 hardcap granted from attachments and/or clothing. However, for something like block mods, i'm not sure if something like vayerbok would necessarily take you over the +125 hard cap.

JediBohemian, where did you hear this?
Not saying you're wrong, it's just that that's pretty specific information, and I'd love to know what the official source is.

Yes, chef foods take you over the defence cap.
Chef foods, City bonusesand SL mods are considered situational modifiers. These are not included in the hard cap of +125.
That is from the devs. I haven't personally done tests proving it does work that way, but I haven't seen anyone else say that it isn't working either.
