I can not play my Chef post CU.

1) I get incapped trying to service my factories by a corellian butterfly. It's CL 18.I am CL3 (Unarmed IV). Grouped with my CL 18 droid, still 2 hit incapped. This is a game breakerIMO. How are we going to be able toservice ourfactories and harvesters?

2) I can not locate my harvs due to missing wps. My factories are near my house, so I found those np.

3) Does SOE plan on paying me the millions in credits I will lose due to unsold brandy, canape, bivoli? Think they shoud as it all seems worthless now.

They have to fix this or I am done as a crafter. We need some way to be able to go into the wild w/o getting incapped/dying. Note, I have scout 2000 and my mask scent breaks all the time, so it is all but worthless, inspite of the fact that I am wear BE camo/mask scent shirt and pants.

1) I'm sorry but we're all in the same boat, call in friends to get rid of them for you or simply do something else. Its harsh, but its all we can do, as i don't see any thing from the devs on this, despite our best efforts

2)Contact a CSR with ingame ticket, you'll have more luck with them than on here.

3) No you won't, as the food isn't useless, but the crates do not display the correct stats, the stats its converted to do not display right. We're hoping for a bug fix soon.

Master Chef leaves a few skill points for a substantial part of an elite combat prof so there is no issue here. If you are all artisan then thats your choice but as an RPG I don't think they intend a double mastery crafting prof template- you can do it technically but no complaints are valid when you get your ass handed to you for being combat deficient.

The game is what the game is, not what you want it to be.

Higg,

Thanks for the reply. Did not know stats were bugged. Hope they do something about duration too. My 45 min brandy is 9 min, yet my 11 min canape is 13 min lol.

Flere,

Sorry, but I disagree with you. I have 0 sp with my current template and am only UA IV, which I always intended to reallocate to something more useful. No crafter should be required to be an elite combat prof in addition to what ever crafting skills they take on. I am master chef, master artisan. I also have scout 2000 to avoid being agged when placing harvs and surveying. Very useful and IMO required for us no/low level combat skill peeps. It also alows me to gather milk. I have merchant 3413 so I can: List my vendors on the planetary map, Place vendor tents (only on in my guild who can do this right now), and have some extra vendors. I also have tailor 0010 so I can make trim for casks. So, just what do I give up to take on an elite combat prof? And, why would I want to?

Thats a lot of SP in merchant for a Chef. With the new galaxy wide vendor search its unnecessary to function effectively. Its an aesthetic choice over combat skills but still a choice.

I used to craft on Corellia too and my chef died all the time to wrix, butterflies, crazed durnis, etc. I'm a lvl 17 chef/BE and I actually fair much better under the new system. I'm now on Naboo and nearly all of the mobs there are lower lvl than myself. How did you survive before the CU? I used to get killed in 3 or 4 shots before, now I can actually win if I fight back...

That's garbage plain and simple. Some of us want to be strictly crafters...We are entrepreneurs and don't want a combat profession. Heck my chef has always been my reprieve from combat with my Jedi.

My template on my alt is master chef/master tailor/master merchant. With the old system I had to watch out, but I didn't get incapped everywhere I went. I put some maintenance in a harvester just outside my city yesterday, and got knocked off my bike and incapped by a diseased vrelt. All I did was drive by.

I shouldn't have to drop part of my template and get a combat profession so as to enable me to be a crafter. The PvE in the CU is ridiculous and completely out of proportion to what a really balanced game would be.

I wouldn't hold out much hope for a "bug fix" on this. For some strange reason a Doctor's 4-hour 300% health buffs have become 40-minute 10% health buffs, but again this is not actually really a bug. /wink

They have changed the balance of foods. Plenty of people used Vercupti and Mandalorian Wine under the old system, and I have been getting lots of requests for both these and Brandy and Canape under the new system.

In the CU, long-term items like Bofa Treats, Blob Candy and Spiced Tea which last 45 minutes or more tend to be low, single-stat buffs. (or 2-stat buffs in the case of Caf and Teltier Noodles). The much higher, health plus regen buffs which buff 3 or 4 stats are higher filling and lower duration.

There seems to be a logic in it, and it fits very much with the stated goals of the CU to make buffs of any kind less "mandatory" and optional but still beneficial.

Oh and also, if you group with a higher-level friend you become that friend's level.

If you have a friend who's level 80 then you could group with them, even if that person is off in Theed or Coronet or elsewhere, and the level 4 to 10 spineflaps or kreetles will be less of a hassle to you.

I do hope that the DEV's help out the crafters with placing our harvestors and removing harvestors. Not asking for them to change thegame for us. Just something to help us out.

Would be nice, but don't hold your breath on that one.
