Thread: Food in the CU: Issues, info and concerns.

I think you've done a great job listing the most pressing concerns. Obviously THE most important one is food/drink going to be worth using after CU.

any more information where a resource that does not contain one of the stats neccesary for the product counting as 0 instead of being ignored as before? I know in another thread this seamed to be the case and wondered if this was intentianal or a bug.

Concern:

Brandy now seems to do the job mandolorian wine currently does, will we be seeing a change in mandolorian wine to make it worth the millions some people have invested in making it?

Hey, if you guys need more foods, you can have the smuggler's spice tree. LOL. I for one dont like crafting as a smuggler.


You just shouldn't be able to sell it on the bazzaar. You should need a smuggler to bring it into the economy some how.

When you say "ham foods no longer stackable" does that mean the same food cannot be eaten more than once, like no more taking 2 canape, or does it mean you can't take a canape and an ahrisa (as they seem to both buff health now).


That leaves the question of which looks to have the biggest bonus, vercupti, ahrisa, or canape.

I don't think we'll know which one really has the biggest bonus until we can see the stats on the foods. I'll have more on that later.

I am sad to report that barrels are still not working. I made deuterium pyro with a large glass and got 10 uses. Same thing with a barrel came out to 7 uses. I almost wish they would just get rid of the barrel rather than have it be such a waste.

Don't know about Synthsteak, but Exo-Protein Wafer are very short-lived. Mine were gone after just 3 hits.

Ok, some things are stackable. I had a customer take an Accarragm and a Gruuvan shaal. Both have a modifier to health regeneration so different foods that buff the same stat seem to be stackable. He said he could kill stuff 5 levels above him. He was a level 10 at the time. I have also gotten good reviews on the Karkan ribenes and Kiwik. One customer told me the Vasarian brandy was beating out the use of his specials when regenerating his ham. These are all good things, in my opinion.


I get the same thing with the Exoprotein wafers, it lasted about 16 seconds which seems a bit quick. Also, the deuterium pyro I made only lasted 62 seconds and flavor was experimented to 82% so some of the foods are way too short in duration.

With regards to the inspiration buffs, I get a message upon assembly of the food, but I have no idea if it makes each experimentation any better or not.

Hopefully, we will learn more about these things as we go along. Thanks to all the people who helped test the food for me, I appreciate it.

Armorsmiths are having a nerf to experimentation, lots of posts annoyed over there, Are us chefs getting a similar nerf, I sure hope not, I spent a lot of dough on my stuff.

Been meaning to get this thread up, but RL (ok, beer) has been getting in the way. I've collected all the issues i've heard of or experienced and all the info we have at this time.


Issues


  • Foods stats not listed. May be intended for the initial testing phase, waiting on conformation.
  • Fixed, apart from Quantity on Drinks.
  • Certain foods appear to have lost their stat buffs, and have been switched to HAM buffs. Waiting on conformation if these are the correct stats.

  • Components not edable. May be intentional, looking into it.
  • Looks like it was intentional.
  • Regen stats not listed correctly. Not a direct issue, but may make testing the foods difficult

  • HAM foods no longer stackable. Hopefully a bug, but may be intentional.

As we work through the menu when the stats have been listed please post any issues and i will bring them to the devs attention. I will also strike off the issues we have there when i get conformation on them.

Information


The infomation we have on foods at this time is very limited due to the non stat showing of foods. The little we have is the HAM and stats the foods will buff, but not the specfic amounts that they will buff. A big thanks to Vidi_MerchantMan who has compiled the infomation here.


I will post more infomation on the specific stats as they come out. I will be pushing the devs on food stat listing to see when we can expect them to be listed, or if its not intentional when the bug will be fixed.
