I saved up for some harvesters and was wondering which are the best type? the small or medium sized harvesters for collecting grain, cereal..etc. Also when I survey and find some grain at 26 percent will my harvetser collect it slower then if it was 80 percent concentration in that area? I'm harvesting grinding material mostly..Thanks in advance

First, yes lower concentrations will make you harvest more slowly

Second, I find that the personal harvesters are just fine for Chefs. Maybe a more experienced chef than I will correct me, but so far I have found that I don't need the MASSIVE quantities of resources that other professions require. Because of this fact the higher maintenance cost of the larger harvesters are not worth it.

I find I keep a harvester running for a day, two at most then pay to re-deed it. To avoid maintenance cost. Remember Chefs are usually poor. Every credit counts!!

Hope this helps.

Mediums are exactly the same as two personals (at least the non-rate experimented ones), but they only take up one lot. So if you find yourself regularly putting down pairs of personals on the same resource, you could consider upgrading; especially if you start hitting the lot cap. On my server, medium floras go for 20 to 25 thousand, so you may need to save up for a bit.

And the concentration gets multiplied by the harvesters "spec rate" to get the actual rate. A personal has a maximum rate of 2 K/H (units per minute). On a 25% spot, it would be extracting at 0.5, or 1 unit every 2 minutes. On an 80% spot it would be 1.6 units per minute.
