Ok, back when tapes didn't work, they seemed to drop like crazy and I would have maybe gotten a food tape for about 3-5k per experimentation/assembly point. Now I have a little cash and the prices people are going for are atrocious (at least on Ahazi). 25-50k per point?? Who the heck are buying these tapes? The hoards of rich chefs on the server?

I saw a guy in game with a +5 Food Experimentation tape, and he was selling it for 500k. I laughed pretty hard, then cried when he messaged me 2 hours later saying that he sold it. I can see how a weaponsmith tape could go for that, given the extreme bidding competition for it and the insane profit value it would bring, but to me it's just not worth it. Bazaars sometimes actually have +1s, but lets face it, it doesn't do much unless you are sitting at +9 exp anyway.

Has anyone else seen this problem recently? (At least since last patch)

There are certainly a LOT less skill attatchments available than before.
It used to be a case of 10+ per town on the bazaar, now you are lucky to see 2-3, and those are usually the armour segment types.

I haven't seen prices like you say, but Im on a different server. I know I certainly wouldnt pay 500k for one, not even a +25, I'd rather do without.

A guy on Bloodfin bought out a +4 food experiment tape auction for 2.1 million yesterday. I think it was worth it...extra experiment points are extremely useful. I hear that we Chefs cap at 12 food experiment pts, I sure hope its true. At least if 12 is the cap, you got a goal thats reachable, and you can stop trying to buy those darn things after a while.

Once you hit Master in your chosen professions there is none unless you want to surrender skills and try something else

So yes, I doubt I would be able to raise my prices if I had one but that is not the point. I would be able to make better food & drink

I actually would pay 500k for that...what I wouldn't pay 500k for a +5 tape. 20k a point for an all encompassing tape would be pretty nice. If I went in the 2-3 million range to get +25, I would go broke pretty quick (especially if I wanted both assem/exper). These prices just seem kinda ludicrus, given the proliferatoin of chefs on the servers. They shouldn't be selling at the same multiple as weaponsmiths...they should be selling a little higher then pikeman.

Oh yeah, given the responses, maybe I should be paying +100k a point.

If I could get another experiment point I'd certainly pay those kind of prices. What else am I gonna spend my money on? I get everything free from my guild except harvesters and resources (which is pretty much what all crafters spend their money on anyway)... /shrug

theres a +17 one floating around on my server...the guy wont sell it tho as he's looking for uber 2handed tapes in return /boggle. Im seeing a lot of our 5 chefs killing dark jedi masters and such for that /rolls eyes.
