SirVimes I was wondering if there was any new news. From what I have read it is fixed on the TC but then again there is a post stating they are working on it. Which one is it and any status that can be relayed. This is becoming an issue for all of us. I have been ok so far as I have some regulars that have kind enough to buy food and are holding on to it until the bug is fixed. My galaxy has lost almost all the chefs and there is going to be no way for me to keep up with demand when it is fixed. This sounds good for business but in fact it isnt. IF I cant keep anyone happy because I cant produce fast enough I will lose customers in the end. People that have been loyal to me may get upset waiting. I just want this fixed. It is hurting so many people, not just the Chefs and will still be a problem now that so many have abandoned the profession.

Sorry, no news.

I haven't see the bug on the test center, so it looked like to me it was fixed. Then others said that it is still there. (Personally, I think there were two bugs doing the same thing...one was fixed, and the other has not been.)

Whenever I get information I will post it, I promise.

I find myself checking the chef boards every day to see if this is fixed. I am a doctor/pistoleer and Ineedfood or spice to fight effectively while solo. I solo quite a bit because I roam around looking for resources to put in meds and my most commonly used food is Vercuppti for the mind regen. For me, not only does food not work(it doesn't give me an upside boost) when it wearsoff I get the negative effects permenantly for that gaming session whether I log off or not. Muon gold doesn't seem to work right either but the downer effects do wear off. In it's current state food is worse than useless - it's harmful and severely affects my game play. Just wanted to let you guys know that this is not just a chef issue and the devs really need to do something about this asap. I have bugged it about 10 times.

The bug is if you eat more then one bite of food, or spice (I've been told) your stats will become messed up.

Heres what happens.

When you eat the first bite it buffs your stats normaly. But when you eat the second bite it for some reason only buffs the max. So you end up with something like.
350/450 Str
Then when the buff wares off it lowers both your current and your max stats even though it only bossted the max.
So in the end you'll end up with
250/350 Str
And the only firm way to reset it is to clone or log for 15 mins.

The bug is in the secondaries and buffing: it's not simply foods. It's spices and doctor buffs as well. Some people seem completely unaffected by this, others find it happening all the time. Zoning will sometimes also help reset your stats or disconnecting (notlogging all the way out); it seems to vary. I wasn't under any buffs and when I'd logged in the first day after the patch, I had -10 str, -10 const as well as other attributes being lower. The worst problem I had was dying with doctor buffs on when my friend came to rez me, I had some seriously negative mind (-500 something). I guess the good news is, since other professions besides oursare also affected, more people are affected andtherefore hopefully they'll be fixing it soon.

Your right about it only being secondarys, because you automaticly heal your self with the primary gets messed up.

And I've head from 2 docters that they aren't effect....
And spices aren't really that hurt by it cause you can only eat one at a time anyway....
I'm going to venture over to the doc board now to see if they've said much about it.

2 doctors weren't affected by the bug (or their customers I mean?) that's interesting. I've hearda couple on Starsider & Wanderhome venting. One guy on SS had a macro he made, asking people to do tickets or something to that affect. I didn't pay it too much attention to his wording, but it's close to that. And then I did the dying thing on my WH character (after doctor buffs) - that was fun .

Spices are also affected by this even if they are limited to one use at a time in your system. I used to barely be able to keep the bazaar loaded. Now I routinely have to go from city to city to pull off my unpurchased sales. After a single Neutron Pixie wears off, my stamina is locked at 150/790. It is a terrible bug. So far the only fixes I've found have been those reported already: get deathblown and reclone or log for at LEAST 15 minutes. I've tried the fixes that work for most other things: riding the shuttle, the elevator in buildings, bumping stat migration by a couple, eating air cake.

this bug affects me when eating ANY amount of food or spice that enhances secondary stats. It doesn't enhance the stat and then subtracts from the stat when it wears out. I can't fix it when this happens even by logging out. My Doctor buffs work just fine on all stats including secondaries so it is not necessarily a secondary stat buff problem. It basically has made food worse than useless until it is fixed.

Master Doctor here,

Yes it is affecting our buffs, but here is how. If you are Doctor Buffed, then the FIRST bite of any food or drink messes up your stats the same way, IE stats dont go up but go down after it wears off. Also this occurs if you are Doctor Buffed and then get Secondary Mind Buffed by the newmaster musicianbuffs. Basically it seems any secondary buffs get messed up if you already have secondary buffs on any stats. This is why it is usually the SECOND bite if you are not already buffed by something else like a doctor, but the FIRST bite if you are secondary buffed by anything. This is why people will say spice works, because you only use that once, but you will see what I mean if you eat spice after food or being doctor buffed.

I hope I am making sense here, heh. But I have been testing it a lot and /bugging it too.

So for the Doctors out there it seems our buffs work right. But I warn everyone I buff not to eat food or spice, which sucks, as I dont want to take your business away. I am hoping for this bug to be squashed too, as I love the mind food !
