my 4th holo said master chef... so here i am grinding up the artisan tree. i get enough *general crafting exp* to make novice chef. so i train it (im actualy in the chef tree so i need *food crafting exp* to gain) so i continue making food, working with bread... once i hit 14801 exp, all general food crafting exp stops....i tried to restart SWG as well as my computer...try a full scan..different planets...citys... different crafting tools (was using food and chemical crafting tools , 4 i made myself) general crafting tool as well... i can seem to get normal exp from crafting guns and things like that, but when it comes to crafting food...i get the item(or lack there of if in practice)but **NO exp** for it, has anyone ever heard of this or know of a way to fix it?

any light that can be shed on this would be great, thank you.

There are two different groups of food. Artisan food and chef food. Artisan food gives you general crafting experience, while chef food gives you food crafting experience. You need food crafting experience to move up the chef tree. Once you make novice chef, the experience you get from artisan food does not help.

i believe its the same way with all of the other elite crafting professions as well.

For example grinding CDEF weapons gives general crafting xp. But crafting schematics at novice weaponsmith will give weapons crafting xp. Same for tailor, DE, chef, architect, armorsmith.

i found this out yesterday also. Crafting westril bread is good xp and you have to use food crafting tool to craft westril bread. It did seem even usuing my food tool anything under westril bread did not give me xp. Can anyone back me up on this?
