Thread: Pre-Patch Food Stomach Usage under new system

Now that Pre-Patch food isn't bugged could someone on Test run an experiment and see if you can eat pre-patch food like normal or will 1 Fishak take 1 hour to digest? This is currently being debated on my server and I wanted to have a definitive answer for my customers

Thanks

/bump.

Any answer?

I saw some answers confirming that last week, but we would like to know how the things are today, cause our customers are worried about buying this stuff in large quantities. Some chefs are warning their customers and not selling this stuff and some others dont, but both sides without a 100% confirmation and only extrapolating the things we are seeing in this board.

A response from TC chefs would be good. We know now that the crate bug is fixed, but what happen when you drink a fishak? after 12 mins you can drink another or you need to wait more time?

Sorry, I should've said my testing on TC. I don't know what other chefs (or non-chefs) have seen. I started my character soon after the revamp announcement (before it actually got put on) and only made it to Mix II before the patch went onto test.

And I think you still might be confused by the new stomach system. The time needed to digest a particular filling is equal to (Filling / 100) * 45. The filling number is the percentage of the stomach that the food takes up, so to make it an actual percentage we need to divide by 100. The amount ofthe stomach filled after a certain amount of time is StartFilling- Time / 45 * 100. The downtime of a food (how long you have to wait to be back where you started) is (Filling / 100) * 45 - Duration. If that ends up a negative number, the food is digested before it wears off.

It'll look like this:

-1m: Empty stomach

0m: Drink Angerian, stomach goes to 60

13m: Angerian buff wears off, stomach is at 31 (60 - 13/45 * 100)

13.01m: Drink second Angerian, stomach now at 91 (31 + 60)

26m: second angerian buff wears off, stomach now at 62 (91 - 13/45 *100)

36m: Stomach at 40 ( 62 - 10/45 * 100 )

36.01m: Can drink a third angerian, putting you at 100 fullness, requiring 27 minutes until empty enough to drink a fourth, or 45m to go all the way back to empty.

These might be off by a bit, depending on what the post-patch filling of Angerian actually is.

And now I've got another post full of math. This always seems to end up frightening Nikki...

Thats what we are asking for, we all know the number and the maths of this new system (or at least we think we know). But with these numbers, and even more if devs finally reduces the limit to 30 mins instead of 60 (or 45 like you said), Fishaks will still be the most useful drink. And I dont think this is the devs Idea. Yes, it has great downtime, but for pvp occasional fights this drink is still great.

I just want to know the filling of this post-patch fishak on TC. Oh and also, seeing your numbers, the post patch filling of all our old good foods and drinks if possible also.

Theabove statement should not be misconstrued by anyone reading this. At first I was thinking you meant fishak made post-patch, Lestatp, when there will be no ability to make this post patch, other than feeding off of pre-patch schematics.

Unless there's some looted schematics we can use that includes some of the stuff we lost....which I haven't heard any word of other than rumors.

Just wanted to clarify for anyone else who may read this thread that fishak isn't a post-patch recipe. It's gone after pub6.

Oh, and sciguyCO....yer a lucky mofo. I didnt make it to mixII before the test center patched, so I'm stuck with trying to test on a novice chef, with no possibility of making the XP for a single other box to test anything else other than the gimp XP bug. /growl. Oh. Also stuck with all the resources to make assloads of wastril bread, and can't make it now. /more growling

I know that Unitarius, the problem is that there are people buying tons of crates of old food. Some of them are speculators, but there are a lot of good people buying all these food thinking they will have no problem with it after the patch.

Thanks for all the hard works guys

So if I am reading this right pre-patch Fishak will still be pretty useful after the patch, and you will only suffer through downtime after you've finished your 3rd helping.

This should keep current customers and speculators happy

Grrr, my login timed out when I tried to submit. You'd think with that happening so much I'd start copying my posts beforehand...

Anyway, yes, you can eat pre-patch food, they will have the same stats and duration you see on live, that won't be changed. The filling is also apparently not changed (it has been added to the stats when you examine it, though).

Now, one thing that will change is that the pre-patch and post-patch digestion rates are different. From some tests on Live, it looks like Angerian fills you about 60% and digests completely in about 12-15m. The filling will probably stay the same, but because teh fill bar drops slower on TC, there will be more down time.

But, it won't be an hour. The 60m time to empty the stomach is only when you are 100% full. And from my testing, it's not 60m, it's 45. So a 60% filling food (like pre-patch angerian) will take 45 * 0.6 = 27m to digest completely, and that's counting from the time you drink it. Now, since the duration is around 13m or so, you will have about 14m after its worn off before your stomach is completely empty. However, when the buff wears off you will have dropped down to about 31% full, so you have enough room to drink a second one immediately after the first buff wears off (but not a third).

Oh, and this is based solely on Live testing of filling and TC testing on digestion. I haven't actually had access to a pre-patch angerian, so there's a chance this is incorrect.

Cant believe there is no fishak surprise in TC to test it. And what happend to pre and post rewamp BoH then?

A 14 min downtime each 3 drinks would be acceptable and will make chefs make hundreds of aludiums/carbosyrup/Fishak schematics, but I dont think they worry about having 2 different "filling codes" for old and new stuff.

Still think all "live chefs" need an answer about this, we are debating this without real confirmation and this creates dudes in all chefs and their customers.
