I was curious as to what everyone is thinking our new best sellers will be.
The odvious was are
Flameout
Vasserian Brandy
Whate else do you guys see that will sell well. Also did any of teh schematics change besides the fact that there is only 1 type of alcohol that can be used? ie does flameout still require gas, tubers and ore. does it still use a sub?

stupid tab key...
Anyway, health is Garrmorl and Won-won, mind Vassarian brandy and Vangerian Canape, Action Accaragm and Kiwik swirl. Top off the filling with a few novice artisan foods to smooth out any short stats, and you're done.
The resist bonus foods would be something that customers will probably get one or two stacks of, and keep "just for a rainy day". I'd think the knockdown defense would be a good seller with PvPers, mainly because it looks like TKA is a popular template right now. But if the "flavor of the month" changes, that may shift to fire resist (if commandos get really popular again), Poison resist (against Combat Medics), etc.
The skill buffs look a little trickier. Most of them give you the equivalent of 1/2 to a full skill box increase. So a Denellian Fizz lets a mid-level fencer dodge close to master level. Jawa beer gives scouts and BEs more of an edge with Mask scent.Veghash gives you a boost to creature harvesting. Almond Kwavu Biscuits give a taming bonus (which can apparently work even above +25 they may have from clothing/tapes). Depending on how those skills cap, these will probably be used more by players working up a profession, but not ones who have already mastered them. I did notice that Chandad doesn't seem to help if you've already got surveying IV (unless it's putting a bonus somewhere other than the "surveying" skill, which I've apparently capped at 100).
Some of the skill buffs would probably be regular sellers: accuracy, defense, terrain negotiation, dodge, Pyollian Cake(especially for those architects with their finger nervously about to hit "assemble" on a PA or city hall), creature harvesting.
For the "special effect" foods, I think I'm going to have to wait and see. Smuggler's Delight (reduces time of spice downer), Havla & Ruby Bliel (reduces the time medics/docs have to wait before healing/buffing again), Ormachek (xp bonus, but not to crafting), Parwan (burst run uses less HAM, and you recover from being tired faster) all might be an occasional special order, but probably not stuff that sells out regularly.
The damage reduction will be popular, at least for a while, but I'm not sure how long that'll last. Synthsteak might end up selling more than flameout because it lasts for more attacks and has a lower filling. A 20% reduction against 20 attacks prevents more damage than 90% reduction against 5 if combat goes for more than 15 attacks. And people have already been coming up with ways around flameout, mainly using the first five attacks with either fast, low-damge normal attacks or by putting on status effects (blind, dizzy, etc). Bleeds probably won't help, because I saw somewhere that the damage-per-tick of DoTs will be affected by armor resists and probably food damage reduction.
One thing I'm planning on doing is having either a food/drink display in my house (on the floor, unless they add the /move up in the next publish) or on a vendor (with astonomical sale prices) as a "show room" to let people browse their options. One of each food, experimented to middle-of-the-road stats.

Can anyone confirm whether or not the schematics are the same as they are now? Also those that require differentmixology subs do they use the same ammount of "alcohol" in the schematics? I am going to start shifting my harvesting to those things that I am going to need more of after the patch.

Hi im a brawler andi have been running some stats off of the info on the chef board all this morning. For me the major reason to take food is HAM cost health being the worse for me. Of course this means Garmorl and Gruuvan shall will be the big buys for me. Ideally also some mind and action buffs in there too but nothing too major. Breath of heavens could be a big plus with additives but the stats listed by soe are over kill forits useand it filling doesnt justify its duration. A smart chef fooling around with the stats could come up with some very intresting drink here. The others like the dmage reduction , dodge bonuses, terrain negiotion , etc, will be bought by combat types for raids because during these times they are doctor buff and dont need food for ham cost. With the 30 min stomach instead of 1 hour stomach there is some real promise now in the food system and hopefully it will come out better than the currentone for you. Any ways i need to get to placing my neworders with my local chef.

I think BoH will still be used, although depending on where the stats settle maybe not as big as pre-patch. Stat buffs in general will at least be easier to market. Need Health? Have a Garrmorl
