Thread: Priceing anyone?
I'm sure you're looking for more help than this, but price things how YOU need them to sell. If you have a sizeable enough bank account that you can go long periods without much in sales and don't like having to craft for several hours a day, then price them a little on the higher side. If you need the income to pay for other things and it hurts you to not do much in sales every day, then start bringing your pricing down.
After the CU hit, I was one of the only chefs that was producing right then, so my sales soared after the CU. I found that with me being the only chef around right then mostly, I had to raise my prices quite a bit just to keep it in stock and not flying off the shelves as soon as it was stocked. I was literally up to 450k/crate for some foods for a little bit. I'm not a greedy guy, I just didn't want to have to spend hours and hours running my factories so I raised up to that so that it would last for a few days to restock. As my business started settling down, I've lowered my prices back to normal and sales are normalizing. It's all dependant on your play style. I pretty much use the supply/demand schema. I do a little bit of price checking, but if I make some food and price it at 200k/crate and I see it all gone by the next day, then I know it's in high demand and I've priced it too low, and I raise the price some.
Hope this helps a little bit.
