Thread: Filling/Duration dependant on unit toughness/decay resist = broken chef class

From my short tests it seems that the filling and duration of our foods are dependant onyour resources unit toughness and decay resistance, however the schematics all list flavor overall quality and potential energy. Unit toughness does not exist as a trait of flora foods, meats, water, or radioactives. Most chef schematics use 1 or all of those4 and only those 4, leaving the unit toughness part of the filling equation completely EMPTY, making all your foods suck.

Why the chef community here (corespondent... *cough*), seems ignorant to this baffles me.

Anybright person could conclude that FIXING the requirements of our foods to actually match what is listed in our schematic would beTHE #1 super duper easy fix to the chef class. Chef foods are all fubar because they don't have the correct duration and filling. A good 90% of chef foods in a perfect setting using the most perfect resources with the most perfect experimentation cannot possibly be experimented past 33% duration (most of the time your lucky if you can get to 15%).

If the unit toughness were taken out of the equation you would find all of your foods not only assembling with 2x the duration/filling, but your experimentation would be twice as effective as well as the cap on duration raised a good 66% on average. In short, a simple fix of the filling equation would make all of your food better, just like that.

What I am trying to get to here is thatI see everyone complaining about this class... and here is your #1 problem.... a VERY simple miscode in the game.

Petition to your corespondent. Get the ear of some coder. The chef class can besaved by the developerswith 10 mins worth of coding and a hotfix.
