Wondering what the most needed items and/or the most rare items needed for this profession & what are the most important stats on that resource?

i.e.:

  • Cold Resistance 283
  • Conductivity 653
  • Decay Resistance 233
  • Heat Resistance 341
  • Malleability 608
  • Shock Resistance 438
  • Unit Toughness 403
  • Overall Quality 599

  • (this is just an example not meat to representan item that is needed)

Whats the most important part?

Potential Energy, OQ and Flavor are the 3 things we always need. I focus on them in that order. I focus on flavor last because it is linked to duration but in the end even if you experiment all points into trying to extend duration you don't lengthen it much.

As far as what resource is needed most. You need a lot of cereal.

My biggest issue is always Meat. Although you don't use meat in but a few recipes this is the most difficult to get. Good quality meat is rare. The other issue is finding a stack large enough. For example Say you want to make 4 cases of Bivoli Tempari (200 mind boost). You will need

6 Floral for Carbosyrup

5 Organic and 15 Vegies for the Protato

Then you Start making the Bivoli so you need 20Vegetables and then 30 units of Carnivore meat. Remember they need to be a full stack. So in total you need 3000 units of the meat. You run to the baz. If your lucky you can find 2K of the same kind BUT.... they want a total 3K credits per 500 so that is 12K.3 problems:

1 - Finding 3000 stack is almost impossible

2 - Assuming you find it, it is probably terrible stats

3 - You can't even come close to making a profit on it.

That is why meat is the worst component.

For these recipes I make what I can and sell partial crates .

Hope this helps some.

Au contraire, flavor does indeed do something. In my experience, ingredients with low flavor stats will have low base duration, and experimentation will only increase by 1-2 seconds per point. The reverse is also true--high flavor ingredients start with longer base duration which will increase dramatically with experimentation.

Also in my experience, it's decay resisitance that has no effect. Supposedly unit toughness has to do with "filling," does that mean high UT means you can eat less of something? Vice versa? I haven't seen any differences there, either...

Flavor does nothing. We need more than overall quality and potential energy.

We need unit toughness and decay resistance.
