Anyway...

Had a Master Chef character for a while. I became frustrated with him, and gave him up for a while.

Now that I have had a chance to do some simple crafting with my other character, I am looking to get back into cooking!

I was thinking about doing only the following: Angarian Fishak, Sunburn, Thakitillo and Bivoli Tempari (please forgive some of the spellings).

Anyone have any thoughts? I might just go Fishak and Thakitillo, but I figured that four would be better for business. Thanks in advance!

Well, since AFS and Thak are both Master items, I'm assuming you're planning on Master Chef again (shudders at grinding TWICE).

Keeping to that few items might work out well for you (not as much time spent gathering resources or running factories), but you can fully expect, as a master chef, to get many requests for items you don't carry: BoH for a start, Ryshcate, Fried Ice Cream, GGP, Ice Blaster, Vercupti, Acorragm, and Ormachek are the main ones I carry, in addition to your list.

With the chef revamp around the corner, I have a feeling the number of items we will have to carry will double, if not more. Look at it this way: how often would people go to McDonald's if all they carried was the Big Mac? Customers like variety

Sorry need to clarify: I am ALREADY a Master Chef with my other character. I just use his lots right now.

As far as variety goes, I am just looking to craft the best items that MOST people would want. McDonalds doesn't increase your ability to self heal... well maybe the McNuggets do. /chuckle

I was just reading a post from someone complaining that Chef's would not take his special order. Most of the replies said that they are too busy to take special orders. These are what scared me away originally, since I got so many I thought they were standard, and I couldn't handle them.

And some of them said that they only make certain types to be the most productive possible.

I forgot about Ormacek, that is some good stuff.

I have found that Sunburn/Ormacek/Bivoli and Fishak/Thaki are pretty good combos depending on what you are doing. So I think that I will carry these, along with maybe some pet food or something.

Anyone else?
