Thread: Chef's Money????
It's all about word of mouth, advertising, good prices, and staying in stock.
Advice: You can't just go into the middle of nowhere (yes even if there's a POI), and expect to sell 200 crates of brandy a day. ESPECIALLY if you're new to the business. People just don't knowyou're there, and in your case have probably already purchased food by the timethey getall the way out near Fort Tusken.
It's taken me9 months to build the customer base I have, and even then, I had to pay attention to EVERY SINGLE PERSON that bought from me in order to keep them a customer. I cater to over 300 people on my server, and that number grows every day. (haha, I also choose who NOT to sell to.)
Give it time, work on your client base, and THEN you'll see sales. (btw, that guy that said your location was probably not so hot on your server, is probably right. Move closer to civilization.)

I am based in a City on Dantooine, and I sell everything I make.
It all depends on a number of things :
Is the vendor in a busy area
Is the vendor known about
Is the vendor registered on the map
Do you sell crates or singles
Are you over expensive
Are your goods enhanced or not
etc
There are so many variables in this profession now.
I only sell crated items, I sell part crates and full, but never singles from my vendor, occasionally, I put some singles on the Bazaar in Coronet or Bestine for a quick cash boost, but thats rare.
I tend to make about a million a week on average, sometimes more, sometimes less - OK it isn't a massive amount, but it does me. On the very rare day, I can sell 2million worth.
Sticking a vendor in a house that no one knows about wont get you sales, it's all about reputation.
Try to get a name for yourself, advertise on the server trade forums (put your prices in the post), say where your vendor is, say whether you sell in singles or crates.
If your items are enhanced, make sure the name says thet - I use Light, Enhanced, Ultra and Uber (corny but it works) as indicators as to the level of enhancement.
