As i understand it, you add no skill tapes to the enhanced apron. Each skill tape is put alone into a single piece of clothing or whatever. Only the first enhancement on each tape works. For each +10 i get a +1 assemble or +1 experiment up to +25 (or 2 pts max in each). What do i need to know or correct? Thanks, it was too much hassle to get this apron to hose things now

Correct, do not put ANY +food experimentation/assembly tapes into the jabba's apron, they will disappear for nothing.
+20 experimentation will give you 2 extra experimentation points.

Also, the assembly skill only improves the success type of the initial combination, you don't actually get any "assembly points" to spend like you do with experimentation.
You can put other tapes to the enhanced apron, but not ones that boost food experimentation/assembly. For example, if you got a +10 Artisan experimentation tape, you could put that in and the bonus will show up (giving youan extra point when experimenting food from Domestic Arts). Whenever you have a tape that gives a bonus to a skill, never add it to a piece of clothing that already gives a bonus to that skill.

Remember that your average + modifierfor a single piece of clothing has be +2.5 if you want to get to +20
You can wear 8 pieces of clothing at a time (that has sockets): Shoes, Gloves, Hat, Shirt, Pants, Jacket, Bandolier, Belt.
Just ask a tailor to make you a suit that you should only where when crafting
