Closing down vendors due to the issue of credit duping?

Curious as to why someone would close a vendor down because other people might be duping credits?

Oh I don't know..... maybe to avoid getting dupped credits that will result in a ban? heheh silly me for thinking.....that others might be worried as well.

Yea people "supposedly" have been banned for having things bought off their vendors with duped credts.

Join the fiasco that is Intrepid right now. We had several spending and tipping sprees end with the receiving parties getting banned, even though they tipped the known duped credits to SOE-Collector and reported having received them. Protests went on, over 100 formally cancelled their accounts (although admittedly many will probably reissue their accounts as long as the situation is fixed), and still the folks that had items on their vendors bought with duped credits and reported and returned the money are banned and the known credit dupers are in-game. So, about 1/3 of the vendors on our server are currently have closed doors. I personally banned the names of those that I know duped credits from the shop and hoped to not get hit. I'll let you know tonight if I'm still able to log in lol.

WellI tend not to read many forums other than my galaxies and chef. Your initial post pretty much said that because someone has some duped credits on them you should close shop because you might not want to sell to a duper(ie give them a reason to dupe more).

More explanation about people actually being banned because of it might have helped a bit.
