Sorry if this has been asked before but im really struggling with the BE additives.

Obviously foods like brandy need to have the additives to make them decent and sellable but do you need to have the enhancements in all foods to make them sellable?

Are some foods just not worth adding additives?

Im having a big problem finding a BE to sell them in the qtys needed to outfit my vendors
not to mention the costs and the resources needed for 1000's of units of additives

I personally do not and have not ever sold non-BE enhanced foods except ormachek, which has no BE additive slot available. The average player that can't afford large quantities of "the good stuff" all at once will buy smaller quantities. Regarding finding BE's, good luck, it's a hard battle to get the attention of good BE's and in dealing with the initial costs of chef if you don't already have a large bankroll.

It is tough to find a good BE Tissue supplier for tissues. I resorted to using my alt account to make them for me, although I usually don't have enough time to get all the resources for making them myself, so I still look around for vendors.

There is nothing wrong with selling food or drinks w/o additives, its just depends on the market. I'd recommend selling food / drinks on the bazaar with adverts for your shop (if you have one). People struggling to make ends meet will get a taste for what certain foods can do, and will bring more business to your shop. This is what I did when I first opened up my shop and it worked very well. Putting up a lot of different food / drinks at first to see what sells better or worse. I'd recommend Synthsteak, Ahrisa, Air Cake for starters. They are pretty easy on resources.

Then once they're contacting you for special orders you can ask them what they want, and if they're willing to pay more for better quality foods, then there you are.

Though for most people I think the need for the best additives for cooking is exagerated. Its just people see how good it can be, and then thats all they would want to use, while something not quite as good would still work well in comparison to going without it. Wow its early. Did that make any sense? Cohesion...waning...
