I think we should really get on the devs about the chef loot that should be in game but is not...for any BE/Chefs we all know the additives can take a special looted item called Secret Research Data...this loot is for chef additives only....this would make 1 additive super uber to make one very uber bottle or stack of something...Almost every other profession has these uber loot drops as we already have the game set up to take then in the BE additive.....This just really needs to be fixed...As they are not in game and still broke....

I know this should be in the BE forum because its a BE item..but we all know thatonly chefs canuse a BE additiveso this would make it a CHEF problem as most BE's don't care about us they just want there money

please sign below if you would like this added to the DEV's fix me thread and ALSO how important this is to you 1-5 please

1 very important

2 important

3 just another issue to add to the list

Thats definitely not my #1 problem with chef.

There are quite a few more important issues with chef.

- Fix some bugs with some foods (e.g. Garmorl can't really be experimented since it relies on PE and none of the ingredients has PE)

- Fix/change reduntend food

- Plates for food to increase stacksize

...

I agree 100%

I would like to see some new artwork. Its kind of depressing thenhalf our foods look like a calzone. Even the new Mando wine looks like Bespin Port. I mean come on devs !!

Well 4 just sounds bad, and 5 is a little too much, but I would be soundwhere in there. I guess I just don't need more things that I basically need to buy from hunters right now. I also can't image the drops being that cheap. 30/.3 krayt tissues still go for 100k+. 100k+ for one stack of brandy? 100k+ for one stack of Vercupti or some other food would be the same as well.

I would love to see them, but I guess I would like many of our other foods fixed or made more useful before then.

Guys keep in mind that food is still a works in progress. I remember when all these foods could be made and there weren't any kind of advantage to consuming them, back when chef was a useless profession unless you wanted to be a cantina bartender..

Though the loot drops are interesting, there are more pressing matters that need to be dealt with first.

During fan fest, GreenMarine (the dev who headed the chef revamp) said that the "hooks" are in the code for the secret research data, they're just looking for the right place to include it. I'd like to see them eventually, but right now I think there are more pressing issues, so I guess I'd have to put it at 3-ish.

The problemI see with loot enhancements is that food is a consumable item. The research data is going to be a one-time use thing. So someone might kill UberMob, loot the data, give it to a BE who makes a single tissue, give that to a chef to make a single additive, which then gets included in a stack of food. No factory runs, no crates of uber-food.

Still, the impression I got from GM was that the data would have a massive effect on the tissue's effectiveness, maybe as high as doubling it. So instead of a 115 heavy additive, you might have a 230 (buff would be 3.3x as powerful). And there may also be tradeoffs associated with them; the final tissue might have something like "Nutrition: 230, Flavor: -50, giving you twice the power for half the duration.

NOTE: Those numbers are complete hearsay, and probably have little (or no) reflection on the actual power we will see when these are eventually added back in.
