Hi!

Just a fast question for the experianced chefs..

What is best to use in nutrients? I've been using meat, but can hide, bone or any creature food be used? i was thinking, as hide dont have the "flavor" and "potential energy" does it only use the OQ for that then? in that case it must be easyer to use hide than meat right?

Thanks in advance.

Sorry, but hide, bone, etc. are not "Food". The only thing that qualifies for that spot is meat, milk, seafood, or eggs, with Meat being the easiest (relatively speaking) to acquire and use.

Well, to be fair, there are three resource slots: one requires "creature food" (meat, milk, seafood, eggs), one requires "flora food" (anything from flora harvester except wood), and one "organic" (anything that's not water, mineral, chemical, or gas).

You can use hide, bone, or wood in the "organic" slot, and may actually end up with better results. If you use a high OQ wood (since that's easy to harvest) in the organic slot, you don't have to worry about finding a resource with high values in all threestats (OQ, PE, Flavor) used to determine the max experimental percentage.

If you don't want to just take my word for it, I can go through the math, but that has been known to scare people off. There's also a calculator link around somewhere in the BE forum that handles the organic slot using wood, you might try searching for that if you just want to play with numbers.

**Edit**: found the calculator:
