Thread: Looking for Corellian Ale on Starsider

I've tried to ask a friend or two who's a chef if they can make some Corellian Ale for me, but the ones I know are so busy it's sorta fallen through the cracks.

If there's anyone with a Chef on Starsider who'd be willing to make me a crate, please let me know. If you need me to help out with finding ingredients or something, I can certainly try, just tell me.

I was also looking at the list of all possible food & drink and wondered if Scrimpi was hard to make? From the chart I looked at, it looks like it'd be just about as good as Accaragm for a performer, could be taken in tandem, possibly made to last as long and has a lower filling. Just a thought.

I can be reached most reliably by game mail to Starsider.tarot.

Corellian ale requires Corellian domesticated wheat. I'm not sure if I have any that's above grind quality, but I will check tonight. That's assuming you are interested in quality. If not, I make lousy non-BE stuff just for fun and sell it in the Lake Wild cantina. Talk to Lola the bartender and she can set you up with some. (Or send me a mail if you want a crate, I could probably spare one.)

I've thought of making Scrimpi, but it has ingredient issues as well. Since water and soft wood have no PE or FL, the buff and duration would depend almost entirely on the quality of the herbivore meat. We haven't had a really good herb meat on Starsider in months, and when we have even a half decent one, the docs all fight over it offering 50-75 cpu. I doubt I'd be able to sell scrimpi for enough to afford those meat prices, so I've passed on making it so far.

/ponder As to the Scrimpi...if the ingredients are water, soft wood and herbi meat, I have boatloads of mediocre herbi meat and soft wood, and think I could scrounge some water. If you'd be willing to mess with me for a bit on differently experimented versions, I could supply the ingredients and just buy a schematic off you...? For that, I think duration would be the main concern, with the level of the modifier. Filling wouldn't be as much an issue, because unlike a combatant, a performer isn't going to be trying to eat multiple things.

As for the Corellian Ale...I'm going to stop by the Lake Wild Cantina and check out what you've got. At this point, I'll take just about anything. I've never seen it made after the revamp. The only real reason I want it is because when I've got someone totally blackbarred on Mind, I want to get them fixed up as fast as I can. When it's a human with 1100 base mind pool, that can take a while, even for a twi'lek with maxxed out bio-tissue clothing.

I'm glad to see there's some interest in this. Most of the feedback I'd heard from entertainers was that BF healing was usually the limiting factor of a customer's visit (unless they forgot to clone), which isn't sped up with the Ale.

Let us know how well it works.

Unfortunately, I do not appear to play the game the same as other entertainers. I do want to have the best possible advantage in my healing mods. I'm not in entertaining solely to listen to the same few bars of music over and over ad infinitum. I do enjoy playing different tunes on different instruments when people are interested in listening, but I really like most being able to heal in a non-standard format. The music is important and fun for me, but not the whole process.

So anyway, I have an ugly suspicion that I'm one of the few musicians who actually wants Corellian Ale. /sigh

Just an update: I got some of Kier's novelty item Corellian Ale, and whaddaya know, a friend of mine had some nasty mind wounds that needed fixing. I took a swig of the Ale, adjusted my bone crest with the bio-tissue enhancements, thanked my lucky stars I'd been born a twi'lek and in very short order he was fine. I could tell the difference that even...uh, what was it? +11 Wound Healing (Music) made.

Man, human buffbots suck for healing.
