Thread: Wannabe Chef with some questions
1. Do you know if you need any scouting skills to harvest eggs from a lair? Want to make sure before I drop scout for chef. ![]()
2. What do you folks normally make besides the tatooine sunburn?
3. What do newbie chef usually make for grinding?
4.How much demand is there for a chef?
Thanks for the help.

1. Yes, only scouts can search lairs. Also, only scouts can harvest meat. So if you want to be self sufficient on these resources, keep scout.
2. Sunburn is our big selling / high profit item. But I also sell large quantity/low quality stacks as pet food, along with some secondary stat buffs (especially constitution and stamina).
3. Wastril bread, with a side of wastril bread, along with a wastril bread chaser. Did I mention for dessert we have some lovely wastril bread? Seriously, this item is the highest xp food at novice chef, so you'll be doing a lot of these until either entrees I (stewed Gwouch) or mixology I (Deuterium Pyro). At Mixology II, you get the best grinding item in Ithorian Mist (170 xp, simple resource requirements, and no components).
4. Sunburns sell pretty consistently, along with high-dose pet food. Most other stuff is hit-or-miss unless you take the effort to inform people about the benefits of food.

Just to add to this:
I make Armor buff packs (buffs secondary stats, atm I've been using Caf/K-18 Rations/Charde and another item but I'm changing them soon.) I sell these at 550 a pop (God I wish we had some cheap containers
) and they sell out all the time. I usually cross merchandise them at a couple of Armorsmiths' places ![]()
Pet food - as mentioned already. (Btw - a new friend of mine told me that Carbosyrup works, so you can sell crates of that, just for cash)
Action/Mind items - my best sellers to certain enlightened individuals. Usually it's the dancers and doctors. Marketing is important. Information is the key ![]()
Huh I could've swore I checked the search lair option after dropping scout. Maybe I was just really lagged and didn't wait long enough for the radial option. Thanks for the info, I'll check that later tonight.

No - you do not need scout abilitiesto search a lair. I do it all the time on Yavin 4 and other planets when I'm running around and feeling sucidal (Master entertainer, 1/2 to master musician, master artisan, 1/2 to master chef, 1/4 merchant.) I get eggs and live animal samples all the time. I am a rodian btw.
