Chef Archive

Im a Master Smuggler, and many various other things. I am totally bored with hunting and Pvp in this game, and thought about doing a artisan type job on the side. Weapons and armor crafting don't really seem all that interesting, but Chef seems real cool. Especially with the Iron Chef titile you can get.

How do all you chef's like the trade?

You do 99% of your profit with 3% of all recipes, you have to deal with ignorant/unkowing people ("I don't eat."), you practise your way up just like in any other artisan profession, most you can make won't sell (pretty much like DE), you are out-performed by doctor buffs and smuggler spices and the Domeastic Arts skill tree, you have to have lots of different resources to make the aforementioned 3%, factory production takes quite long (as most of the 3% are around complexity 30),....

At least factories work now.

Basically it is one big hope for future things to come.

The upside, is you get all the free food you want. And oooo's and aaaaa's from the crowds, "OMG its a chef", as you go run to do your destroy missions.

lol - dude there are so many chef on bria these days, its not even funny...

chef is alot like other profs, sometimes its good, sometimes its bad. deep hardcore grinding. select market. potential for high recurrent customer base. and crazy folk want to waste perfectly good food on social events! egads!

my experience is that i can't make much money relying purely on food. but i just recently started selling "Evil Pet Chow"... heheh Most I've ever made off food in one day was something like 17k or so. The most I've ever made in one day was 60k, all from crafting different non-chef stuff and selling power.

It gets a lot better at Master

At master all I can say is 3 words: Breath of Heaven.

BOH buffs STR, QUICK and FOCUS, thus making HAM costs for armor and weapons reduced. With experimentation you can get it to +400 for all those stats. It takes a ton of resources, but I really do think it is worth it. I charge 600 per use and can't keep them in stock.

Well being a master smuggler making money is not my concern. Just looking for a cool Artisan type of profession to help pass the time.

breath of heaven is crap

take the time to make a good rythcate and you will see that breath of heaven is too costly

Eat 3 rhyscates for the 600+ buff

than Drink One BoH for the extra 400+ on top of that ...

how is it worthless when it stacks with the Rshycate?

but seriously, why would you(being a chef) call one of our best products "crap"?

I really like the Chef prof. I'm usually running around checking my harvestors and working my way up the smuggler line. But i like to kick back and make some stuff. I get all the free food and spices i want. Plus the RP aspect of playing a chef is good fun. Playing bartender in a catina can make for some good laughs.

Im a chef purely for the reason of becoming like steven segal in undersiege Im a Master Chef and Master Teras Kasi Artist.
