It's becoming obvious to Rangers and Scouts that SOE sneaked in an overall reduction in harvested hides, bones and meat because of the new 60% group harvesting rule.

An example, as a Hunt Master Rangeron a mob I would normally get 49 hides from, after the update I now get around 27 hides give or take depending if the creature is fat and healthy, medium size, or skinny (no way to determine this until it's harvested). If I group with any pet, or with another player I may get 18 of those hides.

To the average Ranger it would now be much more profitable to run destroy missions than to harvest creatures for a living to provide to crafters of any type.

All thismayresult in a shortage ofresources and probably is going to drive the overall costs of resources harvested up, thus resulting in youcharging higher prices to sell your goods. You also might end up having to buy many smaller stacks of varying types of products as well.

This happens even if you hunt solo?

Yes even solo.

Ouch. Hmmm well hopefully this will be corrected as the change was just supposed to affect grouping thus minimising the problems with too many scouts in a group and all wanting xp. Hope they sort this out quickly. I hate going out to get the stuff myself

I don't see a serious impact. The top selling products don't use meat/hides/bones.

P.S.: But they said it would increase those resources on the market, so maybe the fix needs a fix.

This is wrong. You are only supposed to have reduced hides when you hunt in a group. Not solo. The reason is is reduced is because the entire group gets 66% hides vs when it was only one person that got all the hides.
