I have read and know the resources required and the values. I am looking for the caps. My best brandy with 83 med nutriant addative and 900's PE and OQ is about 420'ish. Has any one used filling addatives or broken the 450 barrier as I think it is? I am just looking for benchmarks and please post the resources and their pertanent atributes.

Well, I've done some extrapolating on the experimental percentages to find the min and max values for food stats in my revamp food chart (linked in the "Read this" sticky).

Based on my findings, a Brandy would have +150 M/F/W at 0% Nutrition, and +240 M/F/W at 100% Nutrition. The max for nutrient additives is 90.

So the theoritical best buff would be 240 * 1.9 = 456. There may have been some results that good during the one-day crafting revamp (amazing successes "pushed" the max percentage up), but unless you happen to come across 980+ OQ/PE fruits and berries for the brandy and some 970+ OQ/PE/Flavor meat and flora for the additive, I don't think you'll be able to break 450.

To even have a shot at it, you'd need at least an 88 nutrient additive.

Although since the game rounds all decimals down, I may be off a bit on my numbers, so it may not be that hard. Then again, it may be even harder. /shrug.

I've made two 20 crate runs so far. My second run I used 960PE, 980OQ berries and fruits and 83 BE nutrients. I had no extra assembly and experimentation pluses at all and got "great success" for a brandy of +398. I maxed nutrition and threw down extra point for flavor (to get below 49% filling.

Any idea what I'm gonna need to get the +420s I'm seeing? I bought an apron with +5/+5 food assembly and experimentation (for 550k creds, good deal?) . Will that alone get me over 400? Do I need an amazing success?

Curious, I think these questions don't hijack the thread too bad

Homero, I think the only thing you need for that extra "oomph" are better nutrients. The really high-end brandies are made with 87 or even 88 BSNs. Although I would've expected better buff with the OQ/PE you mentioned. What was the final percentage when you maxed nutrition? With 960 PE and 980 OQ, it should've been in the mid 90s, unless the other resource was lower, and that should put the buff around 430 with an 83 BSN.

From tests that I've done, Brandy's buff ranges from 150 to 240. Although I haven't tested lately, I wonder if any number tweaking has been done. The percentage gets multiplied by the range (240 - 150 = 90), then added to the minimum. So experimenting even to 80% would get you 150 + 0.80 * 90 = 222. Then the nutrient's bonus gets applied on top of that as a percentage increase: 222 * 1.83 = 406. With an 83 BSN, you'd need to reach 88% or 89%, but that should be achievable with the resource stats you posted.

Extra experimentation points won't help if you're hitting a ceiling from resource stats. Although they do allow more improvement in other areas after maxing a category. You won't get the point until you get a total of +10 experimentation, but the +5 will improve the odds of a better success when experimenting, and fewer failures. I don't think that amazing successes push the maximum up (it had that effect during the one-day crafting revamp), although I haven't really checked for that. I wasassuming that when they backed out the crafting changes, they backed out everything.

I made it using some fruitFL 930PE 985OQ 851 (the FL is a good stat for the flavor),and my berries werePE 987OQ 889. I did this with 83 broad spectrum nutrients. I don't use an apron, but I did use pyrollian cakes (+5)and Port (+11). It took me 1 point to get to 50 fill, and maxednutrition with 7 or 8 points and the rest into flavor. I thinkI did get an amazing succsess on the origional combine but I am not certian. With the goodies I have now I need to find some 88's.
