Thread: What would sell better: bio-nutrients, or the crafted additives?

Hi all,

Iproduced over 600 of each nutrition tissue (heavy, med, light). Do you think I should sell these as-is, or do you think I should use my Chef skills and craft them into the final additive? Just trying to figure out what would sell better. Also, would anybody be kind enough to give me a ball park price I should charge for these? The stats are below:

Heavy Nutrition Bonus = 116

Medium Nutrition Bonus = 86

Light Nutrition Bonus = 56

sheesh, on starsider there's a vendor that sells heavies, about 117s for 33k a crate. I guess each server's economy is truly different. If you convert them to additives that sounds about right, 43k so I guess he was about right. I hate having to convert them myself personally and would pay extra if my bio engineer did them for me.

Man, that's cheap.Considering the quality of ingredients it takes to get 117, they could sell the meat and veggies for more than they're selling the final product for. Is that vendor ever stocked?

33k for heavies is too cheap, definitely, that's 12cpu - you might get 12cpu for meat, but not for regular organics (at least on my server) - more like half that for quality stuff within a month of spawn. Maybe less, considering it can be any organic/flora, it's really not *that* hard to come by, any more than is a high OQ metal.

But 65k seems on the high end, considering both heavies and mediums use the same amount of meat, the costly part of the equation - I'm accustomed to paying 50k for my mediums, though my old BE sold them for 37k (*sniff* she left for a Euro server). 40k seems on the high-end for lights too; our profit margin on the foods that take only lights is low enough, and BEs can use lesser-quality meats on those.

Anyway, addressing the actual question - I don't know that I would pay more for the convenience of skipping one factory run, and for X amount of junk water, simply because I also have the skill needed to do it. I dunno, maybe people with fewer factories would leap at the chance, but I'm really used to running additives and letting them sit in my output hopper, saving me space. That was my big concern with the guy who wanted to sell trim and casks too - great idea, but, where do I put it?
