I've been trying to think of a nice way to say this, butwillprobably fail miserably:
Why?
The only things really on the site are the chef guide (already linked in a stickied thread), your forums (and I'm not sure SOE's policy is on giving external forums a "semi-sorta-but-definitely-not-really official" status from correspondants) and a food list (although granted the crafting session screen shots are kind of nice). No original content, and ads all over the place. Although I have to admit, the fact that "buyironchef.com" comes up in the google ads makes me laugh.
A cynical person might think you were trying to drum up visitors for ad revenue.
Oh, and Vandessa's food chart still comes up as a pop-up (an icky in-page java one no less, not even a separate browser window) with no attribution, making it look like it was done by you.

Take off all the ads on the site. This is by the most annoying thing to me on any website. The sites the stickies go to are basically blank pages in the way of links and extras. All they have on them is the relevent info and that is all that is needed.
I don't see a need for forums. I know they are useful on many fansites, but many people are not going to check multiple forums per day.
However even if those 2 things were done, I still just don't see a reason as to why I would go to your site. Nothing against it, but it just doesn't offer me anything more. The stickied topics already offer everything I currently need and read for chefs. Everything else I find easily with a simple search.

See, I knew I was going to do a bad job of that. I didn't mean to knock it, I was just trying to say that right now it's kind of....lacking. You already listed it yourself in the Guides thread, and I'm trying to keep the number of stickied threads low.

He did give you feedback. You just didn't like it.
External sites aren't needed as much in SWG as in other games, because Verant has supplied both the forums and the community coordinator, all in one, organized, free, and above all else, AD-less, place. Sending people off-site just divides the community's information and resources, which is ultimately bad for all of us. It's a thoughtful idea, I just think you might've wanted to run it by the chefs first to see if they thought it was needed?

/agree!
Plus you constantly spam the forums with ads to this and the BE site you created. It's annoying, and I won't use either site on principle.
