I wonna be a chef despite the dim outlook on the profession. I decided i wanted to be a chef because my creatures are always hungry and im always making food. I found that i like making food and that it has some good benefits when i eat it as well. This brings me to this forum to ask some of you experienced chefs a couple of questions.

Do you get UXP (i know its currently bugged through reading some of your post but even the general crafting xp) when a creature eats the food you made?

Where can i find a chef trainer?

I can only afford to place 2 harvesters so what resources are the most widely used that require surveying/ a harvester?

Thats all i can think of for now. Thanks in advance for your help and advice.

Hello Gappy. Welcome to the world of cooking. Yeah, it does look grim for chefs right now. I'm hoping as time goes by, the developers will be able to focus on the profession, once they have dealt with most of the broader game issues.

As for UXP, I know chefs get it for items from the chef line, at least now they do. I don't know about the artisan food. I have given some food to a creature handler, but it was all artisan food so I didn't care if I got UXP from it as I didn't needthat xpany more.

What planet are you on? There are a few chef trainers on Naboo. One in Theed by the starport.

Cereal is the most important flora resource, wheat in particular. After that I would say maybe meat but you can't harvest that. So maybe flora fruit, berries in particular. Slightly drawing a blank as I tended to collect all sorts of things.

I'd agree with that, get lots and lots of wheat, and a good supply of berries or some kind of fruit. I also use a lot of meat/hide/bone, but if you are lucky you can find scouts who will give mass amounts of it to you for free, because their inventory is too full. The more stuff you can for free the better since you most likely won't be able to sell the food for its actual value in resources.

There is also a chef trainer on Coriellia, Kor Vella, right outside the starport at the all the crafting stations.

Welcome to the world of cooking... weee

You can find a Chef trainer around the bank in Keren, and near the cloning facility in Theed (nearest the starport). I've not tested UXP with creature consumption, be sure to post if that does work out though

I made a big mistake when selecting my force-sensitive skills. I didnt realize it until it was of course to late. I choose from Combat Prowess: melee speed and accuracy. From Enhanced Reflexes: melee defense and vechile control( i dont know why i choose that). As you can see i was give 4 free branches for my previous holo grinding.I did the captains quest in the village and unlocked ranged accuracy in combat prowess. That makes 5 branches once ranged is complete i only have one more to go.My problem comes in the next phase. While reading a guide here on the forums i discovered that for the next phase I will only be able to take from combat prowess melee speed which i have and from enhanced reflexes vechile control. Im not novice in any of thing. I would have to wait for Phase 3 to be able to take ranged defense. I saw one small way out im not sure if it will work though. I can train to unlock novice heightened to get luck in phase 2 to complete my 6 branches. To get xp for heightened senses i would have to take up musician again and max on xp to finish.

To sum it all up i have two questions:

1.Can i train in a novice skill if i have the xp for it.

2.Two is it worth the trouble, or should i wait till phase 3 to make up my mistake. I just hope some one out there can understand where im coming from and the mistake i made.

For Advanced Infection Amplifiers, anything over 50 is pretty good.

For Advanced Resilience Compound, my better ones were 80ish potency, 120 duration. (but people care more about potency)

For Advanced Dispersal Mechs, I honestly don't remember. One tip I can give you though--is make separate disperal mechs for your single poisons as opposed to your area ones (and separate ones for doc area cures). For single poisons, you can max out the charges/range line without worrying about area. For doc cures, you can max out the area without worrying about the range. For area poisons you can increase them both evenly so you get a good range and a decent area. That's what I did, anyway. Good luck!

With what resources I have I get 59 on AIA's, getting 84 potency on ARC's and dispersal mechs, I max range in 1 set and area in another, to get wide area poisons and a long range hitter. I usually make a couple long range for runners, all other singles I make with rancor bile, since I'm going to be up close anyway with my group.

My current best stats on the components are:

58 on AIAs
89 potency/88 duration ARCs
27/24/11 (I think) ADMs for singles
16/17/17 for Areas
