Hey all,
Can anyone tell me how long creature resources and organic resources stay spawneduntil they shift? I know inorganics such as metals and chemicalsstick around for usually 7 days.
Thanks!

I think I mostly see resources in spawn for 2 weeks, but that could just be me

I think the spawns last however long it takes to exhaust the hidden cap. For spawns that no one wants to harvest, there must be a time limit. I'm not sure how long these unwanted resources take to vanish, but definitely longer than 2 weeks.
For example, through some repeated experience, I believe that milk spawns change after 15k has been harvested. When there is a really good spawn of flora, it lasts about 2 weeks. I've been able to harvest 1.5 million of a single spawn of really good flora, but I definitely did not have the monopoly. I had maybe 1/10-1/20 (wild guess) of the share, so maybe there is 10-20 million available??
Hmmmm, I don't think the milky part is right, because then noone would be able to make a full run of Pikatta Pie

Flora can stay up for 21 days if you are (un)lucky. Most of the times, that just happens for crappy stuff though.

I doubt that the devs really think to cover every single little detail like that.
Seriously, I've gone on crazy milking sprees several times, both before and after the /harvest corpse nerf, and I've always gotten up to 10-12k of milk, and the spawns always changed within a day or two. Most recently, I harvested 12k by the good old-fashioned method and later issued a hunting request, bought about 3k more, and then the spawn changed.

For the past few months I've been doing all (well 95%) of the flora updating on swgcraft for my server. Normally, I check at least once every two days (yes, I check every planet and every flora) and a lot of times I check every day. The most I ever go is 3 days.
That being said, flora spawns definitely last anywhere between 5 - 21 days. Maybe 22 days, but most likely it's 21. That's for crappy or good - I've seen crappy stuff despawn in 5 days, so I don'tthink it really is about a hidden cap.
Also, we had some good dant berries and some very good lok tubers that lasted around 20 days each. These were harvested like crazy - I would say the tubers definitely had at least75 mil of it out there (I know of one chef that had 20 mil himself), and more likely around 100mil or more.
It would be nice if flora spawns were more regular but then the uncertainty is kind of fun as well.

Don't think there is a set limit like that. I have gotten 50k of a recent spawn of milk on Intrepid.

20 million of one resource? Holy cripes. That's some serious hoarding.
...and I thought I was bad!

Myself - I have never seen a flora spawn disappear before 12 days. Max is 21 days; sooo.

Well... This spawned on corbantis a few days ago:
Corellian Fruit - DR 945, FL 956, PE 944, OQ 940.
Spawn time on this resource? Best estimates around 24 hours. Was it an uber resource? YES! But the thing is, most people dont get their harvestors down the same day a resource spawns. I am really good at checking multiple times per day but i rarely hit a resource within 12 hours.
Anyway, I guess if nothing else this shows how quickly a flora resource can despawn....
