Here's my little rant for the day.
I sent a CS ticket in this afternoon after I found that my factory completely ate several of my nutrients. I received this back as a reply. Not only did this CSR completely misuse the word "aloof", but he also failed to realize that CSR's do routinely reimburse players for errors that are beyond their control. I once had a factory eat a stack of resources. Nothing else was touched, just the stack, so I was reimbursed for the cost of the resources. Then there was another occasion where the servers basically all decided to visit the crapper and a few crates of my bivoli were lost when I tried to list them on my vendor just prior to the crash. I was also reimbursed for the cost of those materials. So why, I wonder, is this CSR so clueless? In addition, the suggestion to make smaller runs is just completely ridiculous.
I have a feeling that this kind of lazy, apathetic work is the same reason why we have so many bugs in the game. Thank goodness for the devs that are working to correct this problem, and hopefully they'll soon get rid of the remaining people like CSR Terry S.

That sounds like it was written in another language and put through a translator. I'm not trying to be insulting, but that's honestly what it sounds like.
Could the CSR possibly not have English as a first language?

I was actually wondering the same thing. After I replied to the initial ticket I had another CSR send me a tell. The more we spoke, the more it sounded like I was either speaking to a 12 year old with a poor grasp of the English language or to somebody for whom English wasn't a first language. It could be possible that they're running tech out of India like so many other companies, especially with the generic names all the CSRs seem to have (Hi, Malia. This is CSR MikeH/JeffG/SteveW/etc.), but "aloof" still throws me the heck off. That'd have to be one heck of a poor translator to spit out a word like that! Lol.

I've found that most companies that run support out of India have very high standards when it comes to finding people that are knowledgeable. From what I understand, there are also people that are paid very well to teach American accents to these folks, and I would imagine that being able to fake an accent would require that you also have a good enough grasp of the language to not need a translating program. There are still no excuses for that CSR! lol.

LOL. I'd forgotten about the, er, colorful language I used in the description. It's a good thing I can get away with it there, because I really needed to drop an f-bomb at that moment.
