Hi. I'm an aspiring chef that is in the process of starting up what is hopefully a suscessful business. Looking through the bourds, I couldn't find a direct answer to my question, so I am asking it here (sorry if it already has been answered and I missed it).
Basicly I was wondering what food and drink items sell the best. I'm currently working on a few crates of Bio-Enhanced Vesarian Brandies, and I know they will sell, but I need a bigger selection then just those. I was thinking of making some Bio-Enhanced Blue Milk when I'm done with the brandies (those seem to sell), but beyond that I have no clue what to make. So my question is what other food and drinks can be produced and sold relitively easy and for a decent profit? Thank you for your time.

Additions to the nice list above:
Thakitillo
Pikatta Pie
Bespin Port
Pyollian Cake
Exo-Protein Wafers
Scrimpi
Aitha
I started my chef business making brandy, canape, ahrisa, bivoli, vercupti, and synsthsteak. Expanded to include bespin port, pyollian cake, thakitillo, veghash, accaragm, havla, and citros snow cake within a couple months. Now occasional runs of about every chef food with steady runs of all listed.

I agree with Rahu, but I also believe that its based on the server. The items listed above do sale, but on Intrepid and I may be wrong, but I don't see much demand for Blue milk. And some of the "lesser" cousins as far as foods and drinks that buff same stats but to a lesser degree might not sale as frequently. If I were you I'd visit some of the more popular vendors on your server, or any you can find and see what they are selling and for how much. Heck even take their stats so you have something to compare to.
As for how I started, well brandy of course, then I worked on the doc foods, then I worked on the "combat" foods. After you get established you could just get crazy and start experimenting in differant ways. Example: currently am able to make +431/38m30s/49 filling vasarian brandy, but I'm messing around with increasing duration over nutrition for people such as the docs. Or you can make buff paks of foods depending on the occasion. I may not be producing as much as my guildmate, but I'm having fun and its a great break from constant fighting.

The only use for bluemilk that I know ofis surveying. I use a dismout/survey/remount macro that drains my mind pool pretty quickly. It doesn't seem worthwhile to me to go get a mind buff just to drop a few harvestors. Blue milk seems to work pretty well under these circumstances.
I noticed that T'ssolok (think that is how you spell it) is not on anyone's list. My friend is a master dancer / master musician and has a really hard time finding the stuff. (It reduces the amount of time it takes to give a entertainer buff.) I hit every vendor I could find on corellia and naboo and I found justtwo glasses of it. Glasses, not cases.Doesanyone ever make this stuff?

I keep it stocked. Although its has a slim market and limited usefulness.

A slug or two of +90 Caf (BE-enhanced = Espresso) should keep your Mind regenerating fast enough that the drain shouldnt be a problem.

Great list Kyodor. That is pretty much what I sell on my vendor also with the exception of 3 of them. However they will be getting added shortly!
One suggestion for the original poster of this thread. Try selling crates of 25's and 5's. The 5's give people a chance to try out the product and see how usefulit can be to them.
