if im a chef do i need a friend or myself to be be?
also what is the best thing to grind to get master chef?

i dont got any awnsers to those but why do you want to grind? i dont think grinding out any proffesion (but especially chef) is any fun at all. but im just like that

Make component foods, Alcohol at first and then Protato. Don't make them for practice, really make them; then eat them when your inventory is full. They have no filling, and the user XP gained is bigger than the 5% bonus for practice mode. Fill out the line for experiment points first, then the food lines for whatever interests you. Don't just grind (it's boring), but actually make foods for sale on the Bazaar. By the time you reach Master, you will have some feel for demand and prices.

Its not fun but realisticly its the only way to get going. I've never liked grinding but as with most crafting profs having master is the only way to be successful. If you looks on sciguy "Read here first" thread there's a good faq in there, its the one i used to get master chef. On the BE question, you don't need it per se, but it will help keep you stock and help profits.
