Hello all,
I am a brand new master chef and these are the first twothingsI have crafted with the intent on sellingso I was wondering how I did. I did grind out the chef tree, my chef character was created after the respec, but I still dont have much of a feel for the profession yet because grinding chef is basically making the same food over and over
.
I guess you could call me a noob chef, but you certainly couldnt call me a cheap one. Spent 12 million on a +25 food experimentation CA before i even because novice and with all the BE addictives, resources and factories I'll estimate I've spent around 18 million on everything. I am not a rich man so im hoping this investment will bear much fruit in the future.
With all of that said I am finishing the components for my starting menu, and since i already had the supplies for Breath of Heaven and Elshandruu Pica Thundercloud, i decided to see how well I've spent my money. Heres the stats
BoH
69 fill
7:54 duration
512 +health
200 +health regen
200 +action regen
50 + mind regen
Thundercloud
16 fill
17:48 duration
95 to ranged defense
So how do they look? I only tried once on each item so I could probably do a little better with some luck. I maxed out strength first, then put whatever I had left into duration. Is this the way to go, or should i try something else.
And my final question is, is it worth investing in some of that +experimentation drink (name escapes me right now, as i said still learning the trade
)
Thanks for any help you can lend

Both products look good, but I've never sold the high filling version of BoH. I may still be stuck in the dark ages, but for things like vercupti, mando and BoH, I always go for 50 fill before anything else. The buff suffers a bit, but players are able to cram more items down with the lower filling. In a pinch, they can use one BoH right after the next.
The elshandruu looks good. I've generally seen +100 and over, but 95 is only a few points less, so it's not a biggie.
If you can get your hands on some of the resources or if you want to purchase some from somebody else, bespin is a nice thing to have. It's not a necessity, but if you plan on getting your stats as high as possible on every schematic you make, it can save you a few headaches - not to mention a few crates of additives that would otherwise be spent experimenting.
Sounds like you managed to get into the profession at the right time. When I started chef, I spent 30 million on my suit (and it came without the +25 assembly I added afterwards), and then another 50 million or so to get started on my resources. It's never cheap to pick up an elite crafting profession, but if you play your cards right, you'll be rewarded many times over and the amount you initially spent will be but a drop in the bucket.

Some people will still want that Breath of heaven for short fights but put some of that experimentation into filling. It will sell much better because you can get 50 fill and still have+300 to health with the right resources.
The El. Pica Thundercloud is nice. I just made some +98 for 17 Minutes which is about the same stats just different experimental targets. It sells good. Most people recognize 98-100 as being the good stuff and I have found it really doesn't make any difference on the other stats if you can reach that mark. Might put a exp. point more into nutrition if you can....it will sell much better.
Good job though!!!

Heya,
Thundercloud looks pretty good, I think the best I've made was +97 Ranged Def, but w/a tiny bit less duration but again that's gonna vary from server to server (based on the resources you use). I think I used the Best resources possible on my Thundercloud (I've done extensive research on which resources had which Stats, which were available, and which were viable cost wise to use in my products).
Haven't tried Breathe of Heaven yet, but seeing as how it seems popular, probably going to have to give it a try soon
Keep up the good work, and w/practice in expiermenting around w/different products, different BE additives is how you'll really learn & master the proffesion

Thanks everyone for your helpful tips and comments, its really refreshing to know that someone starting a profession can get such great insight from someone who knows much much more. Its a shame some profession boards spent more time attacking the new comers and try to keep all their tips to themselves.
so /hatsoff to all the chefs in the galaxy, you play this game in a manner that should be the example for everyone else

Use a fill reducing enhancer in you breathe of heaven and you can make it, 33fill, 10 mins +200 health 200/200/50 regen. and then stack it with canape my customers love it.
