Would it be possible to become a Master Chef with only investing in the Artisan Domestic Arts skill tree? I want to be able to find my own resources, but if I have to spread my points out into other Artisan skills I would have to seriously re think my build.
Also, if it would make it a LOT easier to invest in a few other artisan skills what would they be? (keep in mind, I'm only going artisan to be a chef).
Thanks!

If you want to find your own stuff, you'll want to get Surveying; you can always just dump it later when you get to the higher levels and need the skill points. You may also want to consider Engineering for the experimentation bonuses. After all, chefs are culinary engineers :-)

Also, while it is not needed, you might also want to check out Eng1. You can make some nice chef tools with that. But you don't need it, but it is only 500 xp and you can give it up later.

Just grinded out chef and have been reading alot of material thruout these boards but one question still stands out. Maybe I just missed it.
Now that I'm done grinding and want to start producing quality foods I need to know something about tissues and additives and factory runs. (Keep in mind I havent made a single factory run of a finished food yet, just components)
(hypothetically) I make a schem of Mcnuggets using a medium additive. It kicks ass. The schem is good for a run of 500. Do I need to make 500 med additives using 500 tissues first and add it to the factory run of the Mcnuggets? A crate of med additives on my server costs upwards of 50k. Only 25 per crate.
Tell me I only have to use the tissue for the additive on the schem. Or one tissue for a factory run of additives or something along those lines
Still unsure how this works.

If I'm reading correctly, it sounds like you're asking whether you need to have tissues made, and then add tissues to the tissues to make more items. That's not the case.
If you buy 500 medium tissues, you'll then need to turn them into medium additives by adding water, as per your 'medium food additive' schematic.
After those are finished, you then take the completed additives and can use them in whatever food/drink calls for a medium additive.
tissues from your BE ---> additives ---> food
Subcomponents like veghash don't need additives at all (and veghash is the only one that will take additives because it's also a regular food), unless you're making it for consumption, in which case, you want to use an additive.

Just to clarify - you need 1 tissue for every additive you make and 1 additive for every food you make. So if you make a factory run of 1000 of a particular food you need a 1000 additives, therefore a 1000 tissues to make those additives. The cost of the additives (1000 - 1500 credits each usually) can be a lot higher than the cost of resources so be sure to add in everything when working out your selling price.
