Went and tested out the regen foodthat people have been claiming is broken.

Tested it on mind regen because it was slower to heal and therefor easier to test.

Emptied the mind pool by using Channel untill it was less then 10%, waited untill it reached 10% then started the timer. Stoped timer when mind pool reached 100%.

Result shows that mind regen food does indeed work, around 13 seconds faster to heal with food then without. I would assume from this that action regen food also works.

Test:

- From 10% - 100% mind (90%)

- human

- Standing position

- canape (+200 mind regen)

- 8 test total (4 with, 4 without canape)

Result:

Shown below are the results in minutes:seconds

No Food -

1st=1:54

2nd=1:55

3rd=1:55

4th=1:55

With Food -

1st=1:42

2nd=1:41

3rd=1:42

4th=1:42

Thats good to know, thank you for posting the results. I wonder what a test on Caf or some other 100+ mind regen food would yeild. How much of a bonus does +100 MR give with the Canape. I really wish they would display the numbers for your regen stats so that people could more easily see the result of the food they purchase. Does race play an effect? I'm a Mon Cal and when I was playing an alt trando and doing some surveying I noticed that frequent surveying for resources drained my mind pool to nothing, whereas I can do frequent surveys on my Mon Cal and my mind pool never falls below 75% as it seems to regen rather quickly.

This is a great test and completely explains why I do not use food or drink on a daily basis any more.

Food and Drink used to mean something, but from what these tests show, a +200 regen adds only 11% increase. I don't believe we should be stacking like the old days, but we need better results than this.

But my biggest issuewith food / drink has been that I don't know if it's there or not. For instance,if I have two foods that share a similar aspect (i.e. Health regen)? Once I eat the second one, the previous disappears so I have no idea if any of the first food is still there. Does anyone know if the Devs will ever put the modifiedstats in Ctrl + C?

Its not there if it vanishes, it has been replaced by the more powerful version.

Only certain "pairs" of foods/drinks stack togethor.

Like:

Mando wine & won won

Brandy & canape

BoH & canape

Spiced tea & BoH

Kiwik swirl & Vercupti

Spiced tea, Kan wafers and Blob candy,

There is also a few others...but just posting this quickly.

I had a feeling this was true. Thus, I rarely eat / drink any more. It doesn't make enough of a difference for the price I have to pay. Not saying you guys are expensive, I'm just saying that food has gone from one extreme to the other when it needed to meet somewhere in the middle.

Well it does make a huge differance. Try dueling someone with a similar spec as yourself. If they use food and you dont it will be you who is visiting the cloner.

Food buffs are still very powerful you just need to educate yourself more about them and find what works best for you.

/agree...food is still required if you want to be competitive in pvp or if you plan on killing high level mobs.
