I think it's PATHETIC that artisan food's are so good. It's not even an elite skill, but yet they can put chef's out of business. There is no reason a chef, couldn't make foods just as well.
As a analogy, it's as if you are better off being a master marksman than mastering rifleman. I think something has to be changed.
Chef foods need a complete revamp. They need longer durations, and lower filling, just as artisan foods do, otherwise just change it so that chefs can craft Artisan foods at 12 points.

What is the big deal? If you can make Chef foods, you can make artisan foods. You have to have the artisan line to get chef anyway. The problem you are having about going out of business may have more to do with the fact that you are here complaining when you should be crafting and stocking the vendors

artisans are far from putting chefs out of business, of course there is a bit more competition than preCU but thats good. Artisan foods&drinks range is very limited. The benefit artisan stuff has is the low fill but there is no such thing like defense food, ranger food aso.... bah browse your schematics for more

I have plenty of foods I can sell, but it annoys me that items like Ruby Bliel, Blob Candy etc can be crafted better by a lower class. Chef's should be able to make all foods at 12 points.
The nerf Artisan Foods was just to get people to read the thread lol.

If you cant accept that there is another ("lower" your words) profession that can produce some products similar to yours, why don't you pick master artisan?

I'd never, and will ever, call for a Artisan Food nerf.
Chef foods are lagging behind, they should have they're durations made longer, and some filling reductions on some foods.
Also once the event triggered food bug is fixed, things like synthsteak, Deut Pyro and Corelian Ale will be even more useful.

Glad to hear some reason around here!

have the devs told you for sure that it's a bug and it's unintentional? also, i wasn't aware that deut pyro and ale were meant to be event triggered drinks, although it would explain their ridiculously short durations. however, it seems odd that if they were meant to be event-triggered that once you experiment the duration above 59 seconds it moves up to 1 minute. i would think if it was just a bug and should be event-triggered the duration would say 60 seconds instead of 1 minute. i dunno, prolly just my mind wandering.

I use Synthsteak sometimes, you know, +49% mitigation for 30 secs can save your life. and the filling is not so bad (20 I think)
but Ale or Pyro with 50 sec duration? You can land what? 10 to 15 attacks? meh

I thinkt he synsteak pyro and ale are all well off maybe doubleing there duration at most. All are very usefull as is and would most likely be overpowering if it was event triggered. Think about it 58 attacks with pyro or ale at +2xx accuracy if the targets defense is at your accuracy already thats stacking on a extra 200 dmg per shot. Same goes for synsteak now that there is a action bar the synsteak will last through your whole use of it before its out. Very helpfull as of now and don't think it needs to be looked at. Maybe tweaking some of our buff foods/defensive foods.

I make ale for 1 minutes or 1:10
Thats like 20-30 atacks ![]()
And I can stack like 7 ale in a row thats like 7 minutes of massive dmg
