Thread: make quests for new/old chef schematics...

errg...darn enter button...but anyway here's my idea:
create a system similar to the entertainer quests where chefs can go to oh lets say jabba's chef and undertake challenges...
perhaps involve some of those "junk" items like preserved ewok spleens, jars of spice, etc. randomly...and after creating an item with a temporary schematic from jabba's chef (perhaps make it have to have a certain quality) you get the schematic permanently.
this would definately make up for the devs never actually finishing the chef revamp...still waiting for those "temporarily lost" schematics to come back in a "future" publish.

Great idea! That would be very creative and fun to do. Maybe all of those generic jars of spices and sarlaac bile could have some interesting uses...

Great idea.
Maybe Jabbas chef gives you a one time use schematic with some random(and odd) ingrediants you have to get. Make the item and come back and give it to the quest giver and you get the reward.
Possibly something very similar to the Bestine paintings. The quest giver gives out a new recipe each week or two.

the idea has great potiental. a great way to chefs more involved in the game instead of just grinding. In addition I would like to add the following. make each Planet have one speciality dish that you can only get from doing quest on that planet. Also make it so the Schematics cannot be sold or traded. that would add a challenge.

I love these ideas, it would be a lot of fun to get new schematics from quests!
Perhaps the schematics could be limited use or something, maybe a 1000-use schematic so you could make a full run of 40 crates, but not much beyond that?
Otherwise I don't imagine it would be very easy to implement a new schematic into the game every week/month/etc.

I'd like an easier way to getthe Mandalorian Wine Schematic. I've been spamming the trade forums on my server for several days. Appearently no one has them to sell and I've been offering 8 million credits.

I agree--I'm not sure about the logic of a crafter-only schematic being found at the bottom of the toughest dungeon in the whole game! 
It would be cool if it was like the RIS quest in some way, with several steps involved in getting it.

/agree with everyone
that would be really cool to get new schematics for doing quests and such
I am Chef and Carbineer but grinding and crafting getting boring after a couple of hours. If I had to run a quest every week or so to keep up with everyone else it would add something to the game.

Would be nice for Chefs to be able to do their own quests for their own schems ... I hate having to relie on fighters for schemtics all the time
