I was just wondering how much of bio engineer you needed to have to make the parts for a chef. Is it just 0-1-0-0 ?
that was what it looked like to me when i checked but knowing myself as well as i do i'm normally wrong so any replies would be greatly appreciated
thx

if you want the crappiest light additives ever conceived, sure
Medium additives come at xx3x and heavies come at Master.
Also, all the assembly and experimentation mods come in the 4th tree.
If you want to have the most terrible additives and therefore pretty low quality products, i would
be interested to see the results though.

The correct answer is x3xx
The third tree is DNA sampling. Your best move, if you want to dabble is to go 0404 BE. You won't have all the experiment points and you won't be able to make heavy additives but you'll be able to make mediums and lights that are average quality. If you want to make the best you will need to master BE, which is why many chefs have BE alts. Hope that helps. ![]()

"the assembly and experimentation mods come in the 4th tree."
We actually don't have any assembly mods.

ok cool thx, it's just sooo hard to find a BE that wants this. There as rare as rocking horse *cough* and then when u do find em they just seem to concentrate on stuff for pets and tailors. I'm sure it will all come good eventually i just don;'t really fancy mastering BE too.

Short answer is that chefs use tissues faster than a BE can make them. A BE can quickly become completely tied to their factory. This is unfun for many players. A bio-engineer is curious by nature and loves the aspect of exploring and experimenting with DNA combinations. Many long time BE's make tissues when they get low of funds. The rest of the time you'll find them in the wilds of Endor or poking rancors with long needles.
There are other economic factors but mostly it boils down to what is fun and what is not.

Honestly, I would always rather make chef tissues because they only require generic meat and generic flora whereas tailor tissues seem to require all sorts of specific crap.
However, meat is just so friggin difficult to find in any quantity, at least on chilastra, that I end up cutting chef's a huge deal on their crates if they provide the meat. Which is fine with me
I use uber flora, so I make up for it.
