I'm just curious, what do people generally pay for tapes? I'd guess that something that's +10 is going to go for more than 10 times what something that is +1 is, so if anyone can provide just a rough idea of a lower end, and an upper end tape cost, I'd be grateful.
Also, if there are multiple bonuses on one item, do they all work? If I recall, there was a time that only the first one listed worked...or was it the highest bonus....or something like that.
Many thanks!

500k per point on my server atm.
It very server specific, radiant is one of the smaller servers like farstar so i'd say the price would be low. But do a search on your galaxcies trade forum, they give you a better idea than we could.

On Kauri it's generally 1 million per point on the +4 and higher tapes. +1s generally fetch 500K. I recently paid 20 million on a +17 tape!

On Chilastra it's about a mil per point until you get to +4 or above. Then things start getting crazy.

Only because you keep outbidding me. If you'd leave those auctions alone, the prices would stay reasonable.
When getting +experimentation stuff, you must start with a crafter's apron. At +5 experimentation/assembly, and generally for sale for less than 500k it's an excellent investment. It uses the jacket/vest slot on your toon, so once you have this ignore any +experimentation auctions on jackets, vests, or robes.
Tapes usually get a big jump in per-point cost above +5. Considering that for most species, with an apron you can wear boots, pants, belt, shirt, gloves and a hat, you have six other clothing slots to put tapes in. You can actually get by with just +2 or +3 tapes (+5 from the apron, plus 3 * 5 for example). Trandos can't wear boots or gloves. Wookiees have a much harder time, since they have more limited clothing options (and IIRC they can't wear their gloves with the apron).
Tapes are more flexible, since they can be used in any piece of clothing with an empty socket, but clothing with built-in mods show up occasionally too. These may conflict with existing +experimentation clothing you have, or be something your character can't wear (female toons can't wear Tuskan gear, Male toons can't wear a few skirts, Trandos can't wear gloves, etc).
Tapes with multiple mods are buggy. In general, the rules of thumb are:
- Highest mod on the tape sticks.
- Ifmultiplemods are tied for highest, the first one listed sticks (this is usually alphabetical).
- If a tape is added to a piece of clothing with the same mod, the clothing ends up with the higher bonus (a +3 tape added to a +2 shirt ends up +3. A +2 tape added to a +4 shirt ends up +4)
- If a two-mod tape is added to a piece of clothing that already has one of the mods, and the clothing is higher, the other mod on the tape sticks (overrulling the first two rules).
There are a few posts over in Game Guides and Core Systems about multi-mod tapes, you might want to search for those if you have further questions.

I try to keep things reasonable, except for the last auction where I went for a quick B/O on a +2 so I could be an 11 pointer. Now it's back to trying for bargain buys so I can make 12 point. The +1 food exp tape I got for 2k was nice, though.
