Thread: Mando Wine...is it worth it?

is it worth learning and selling or would selling the schematic be better. on my server they go for a good 20mil or so and thats 20x's more money then i have now lo. what do you think?

Yikes! 20mil? On Starsider they are around 5-7mil.
How many Jedi do you have on your server? I know that 80% of my Mando wine clientele are Jedi. Right now I am selling about 15 crates a week of the stuff at 275k a crate, so to be honest its been worth a lot more to me to learn it. But I probably would have learned it anyway just to be able to have something else to make.
Anyway I am rambling. Consider it like this: Do you have a good deal of Jedi on your server, and do you have a supply of decent to great wild rice? I was lucky that I had the rice, so making 50 fill mando was fairly easy....and I think that was one of the larger selling points for the stuff. If the answer is yes to those questions....I would go ahead and learn it

I really want to get one of these schematics. I've just started spamming the trade forums again on my server since the high end loot drops were supposed to be fixed in the last patch. Maybe I'll get lucky and someone will loot one and sell it!

Also check the vendors of the better chefs on your server. If they are all making it, then just sell the schematic. Not too many people even know about this stuff, but when the CU comes through, you'll wish you had it

Aye not sure about 20mil but to give you a example.
My first run of 13 crates I priced at 250k they sold out in a couple hours.
Second run I priced at 400k they sold out in just a couple hours also.
This is just from one post on the trade forums my chef buisness isn't really quite off the ground yet so I don't do alot of advertising but someone asked for it so I made some runs and it sold quick fast.
As a pre post said you will want some killer wild rice not sure how well it would sell if its not 50fill or less.
So its nice to have but not sure about the 20mil....
I kicked myslef for not buying one for 4mil one day when guy was selling it, but luckily a guildie looted one about 2 weeks later so it was sweet.

I really hope it does turn out to be worth it after the CURB. Right now I am the only one on my server who can make it (to my knowledge, only three have been looted and the other two Chef's have retired) and I think I have only sold one crate. Might be time to turn up the marketing....

Hmm perhaps the people on your server may not know what it does? I know that alot of mine goes to jedis for that last min I need a quick boost buff.

I've sold a pretty decent amount of this stuff on Kettemoor. Still haven't made back the 20 mil it cost for the schematic though, but what else is there to spend all the vast fortunes of a chef on? lol

we know what it does but 2 or 3 chefs that had it retired

set up a raid to get more schems. I had an alt on Tempest for a while before JTL came out, and I can say from first-hand sight, that you have a very healthy Jedi population over there, and they are not affraid to go in public either.
Try and inform your regular customers about it, and maybe send an e-mail to the guilds you know informing them of what it does, they'll start filtering in after you do that
Just don't spam, it turns people off of a lot of things they would normally buy
