Actually, all Bivoli figures round DOWN...so a +25.99 is the same as a +25.01. It doesnt matter.

But to answer your question, the +25 was +25.5 and the +26 was +26.06

Hope this helps!

Although if you felt like doing the same test with a 25.8 or 25.9 just to double check...

TEST REASON :

To determine if there is any advantage at all to decimals when it comes to the power of bivoli

TEST CONDITIONS :

-Controlled test

-Same Doc

-Same Buffpack

-Same stat

-Same Buff recipient

-No BF

-Sitting in medcenter (no droid to prevent battery low bug from interfering)

TEST RESULTS:

- 23.18 Bivoli : 2048

- 23.75 Bivoli : 2048

- 24.08 Bivoli : 2056

- 24.41 Bivoli : 2056

- 25.17 Bivoli : 2065

- 25.50 Bivoli : 2065

CONCLUSION:

The decimal value on a bivoli recipe has no affect whatsoever. It all rounds down (or up...I guess it could be either :smileywink

Thanks again. I just remember some chefs advertising +25.9 bivoli with the implication that it gave a better buff than +25.0. It never made sense to me, since skill buffs show up in your character sheet with no decimals, and it always rounded down there.

Now I just have to figure out how to add your test results to the reference page....

Actually, do you think you could tack these (Bivoli and Pikatta test results) onto the "Food 101 post? I could copy and paste them, but I wouldn't want it to look like I was taking credit for the excellent work you've put in.

Pfft. Get back to the kitchen and cook up some 23.0, 24.0 and 25.0 Bivoli and test them, then you'll know if it's up or down. Seriously, anyone would think you were performing these experiments as an unpaid contribution to the profession, with slipshod attitudes like that

Seriously though, nice work, and even though it confirms what I've always thought, it's great to have concrete evidence to back it up, and convince the doubters.

Just to muddy the waters, Jalinsol's latest post in his/her "Bivoli price check" post refers to a 7pt difference in the buff, between +24.08 and +24.8 (or thereabouts).

Isn't Chef fun?
